Would it be cool to have the BB's Ise and Hyuga and the Mogami after they had been converted into semi-carriers?

It would be cool to have cruiser and BB-bound, cat-launched floatplanes period! But this is probably something of a pipe dream for us. We're more likely to get Uber-Luftwaffe of 1964: ALTERNATE REALITY than catapult launched aircraft. Too bad, because if floatplanes and heavy cruisers give me stiffys to begin with you can imagine what the Mogami does...

It would also be interesting to see submarine launched aircraft http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Unfortunately we don't even have half the carriers or even a quarter of the ships the game needs, through no fault of Oleg and crew I might add. The possibility of something like hybrid carriers is astronomically low. Unless of course you're a very good modder....

Given the current difficulties with the WIND situation, any opeartions from Ise or Hyuga would be problematical. The CVL's, built on Crusier hulls are long enough for ops here, but are narrow and were rollers.

As simulations get more graphically sophisticated, the choices seem to narrow. Some now ancient 'games' such as Microprose TF 1942, Pacific Air War and the original Silent Hunter had features which have not been surpassed, or even equaled. The bottom line, in a $40 or so sim, the graphics get better each year, but are labor intensive, so something gives.

And here we are!
