Hi guys, just checked in IGN this:

AC:R 3D (http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/120/1200281p1.html)

This means that even Non-3D Tv's(like me,I have a FULL HD) can use that old-school 3D,named TriOviz?
If so they say you need special glasses but for this old-3D won't that red/green glasses do?

Cheers

Because 3D is awesome. I got a nice TV for the 2d picture quality..the 3d capability was just a added bonus...and its great.
People complain about this stuff just for the sake on complaining. When sound, color, HD all came to Tv over the years, everyone complained at first cas it was new and expensive and they thought it was "unnecessary".
3D is here to stay and its just going to keep getting better, cheaper and more common.

Switched my pre order over to the ps3 version just for the 3D...already have original assasins creed http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Normal red/green glasses may not work - you should officially use the correct ones, since they do have a different tint - so if it does not work with other ones, please do not be upset http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif I have to agree, playing ACR in 3D the whole time would 1. Be annoying 2. Put strain on my eyes. However Im sure if I actually were to play it in 3D I may like it better but so far for movies...it hasn't worked as well.

sure thing gramps...them talking movies got to go to...bring back the silence films! Bluray? wtf is that?..VHS is the future.
And everyone that *****ed about HD tv's a few years ago all have one now...funny how that happens when the technology gets perfected and prices drop.

3D is not 'perfected technology', it is an unnecessary gimmick.

With the money that they waste into producing 3D televisions, they could be investing it into much more useful and productive technology.

Lol, 3d is nowhere near the "wave of the future". Until they can actually make 3d holographic movies, I'm not impressed.

Don't assume you know anything about me you prepubescent little child. HD is a better viewing experience, 3D is a gimmick. Don't try to relate them because they are not relatable.

I'm not a little child lol..how would I have that TV if I wasn't a working adult with a paycheck? I never said 3D was a perfected technology, its new and going to take some time.

HD is a awesome viewing experience...now. It was very much thought of as a gimmick a few years ago...same as color and sound when they first hit the scene. And seeing how almost all 3D movies and games are in HD format the viewing experience is still great.
I think they are totally relateable..there both great technology that were meet with resistance when they came out..mostly cas of price.
In years to come 3D is most likely just going to be a standard feature on all TV's..same as HD. But you can continue your campaign of slandering it on the web if you want.

I love how you get mad at someone making a stupid joke assuming it was a actual assumption and then make one of your own lol...hypocrite? But then again it's easy to talk tough on the internet..as your well aware of I'm sure.

AC:R is going to being awesome btw!Big fan of the series and I'm looking forward to playing it in 3D lol.

There are many ways you can buy a TV and you only have to 14 to work so... Either way you called me gramps so you must be a child if you consider a 25yo gramps. And, if you're willing to fork over $1000 dollars for a TV just for a gimmick, then you have the decision making skills of a child in my estimation.

Anyway moving on, I stand by my comment that HD is a better viewing experience and 3D is a gimmick and a novelty. Something only a child could enjoy for any extended amount of time while watching their Disney movies.

To each their own I suppose but we shall see how 3D works out this time. Oh and just so you know there have been many technologies that seemed promising but never made it. Oddly enough, one of those was 3D.

Other thing,just a quick question,the 3D used in a 3D TV,how much difference it is from this 3D used in an Non-3D TV(Full HD)?

Yes, these are the right glasses.
The Inficolor 3D does most likely have a bit worse colours than the original 2D picture, but what I have heard the 3D effect seems to be pretty awesome. Also, the colours are supposedly better than those of other forms of anaglyphic 3D.

Yes, 3D is the technology of the future. Surely it's here to stay and anyone who doesn't think so just doesn't keep up with the times. That's what they said back in the 1950's when 3D technology was first introduced. Then again after it disappeared and resurfaced in the 60's, then again in the 80's....

I'm 27..and have been a contractor for about 7 years now. Not a millionaire but it's decent money...I'm not 14. I'm sure you would like to think i am tho. Why I'm defending that to you I have no idea.
Obviously you don't understand sarcasm...you can be 10 and I'll call you gramps if I think you acting like some old man.

Like I said I got the TV for its 2d picture quality and colors..it was amazing...and big lol. 3D was just a added bonus like I said. If you cant understand that then you have the comprehension of a child by my estimation.
I've made my points and I can make more and we could keep going on but its going nowhere. You can stand by your gimmick and only children liking it argument.Taking the time to dump on it whenever the subject comes up...and I'll go with my knowing better. The time and money people and companies are putting into it..looks like its going to get a fair shake, after all its not that red/blue crap anymore. But time will till I guess.
The Disney argument is cute lol...a lot of people would make the same argument about video games being for immature people. But we know better don't we? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Alright well I'm not gramps and you're not a prepubecsent child moving on.

3D TVs are more expensive than non 3D TVs so it's not just a bonus. You paid more for it.

You can think you know better, ignorance is bliss I suppose.

What you are saying is every investment a company makes is a wise one? An interesting theory. Many companies have dumped tons of money into things that never worked out you know. There was a company that made a car that you could drive onto the water. At first glance, a great idea but how many do you see on the roads today? There was another company that made a jet powered car, also not many of those around either. There are numerous more examples I could give but I'll just leave it at that.

All that said, you fell for the gimmick and I find that funny. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif

Or ya know, maybe since 3D is actually being developed on farther than the red-blue glasses now it will actually stay. I mean, I wouldn't mind looking at the PC and it looks more like I'm looking into another room/world than just a flat screen.

Yeah I didn't either till I got it and started playing games and watching movies in 3D in the comfort of my own home without having to go to the theaters and make a event of it.

I can see both sides of the argument..but with text on a screen things get mixed up pretty quick. You think some one is being a jerk so you say something. They think your a jerk and its just goes on and on from there unfortunately. I just really think its cool is all. And when I heard AC:R was going to be 3D I thought that was pretty sweet. That's it in a nut shell

@OP: Adding 3D support means you will require a 3D TV (stereoscopic 3D), or 3D glasses if you're using a regular TV/monitor (anaglyph 3D). (If the game supports anaglyph 3D, that is.)
Anyway, wonder why Ubi didn't have this for the console versions of Brotherhood. One of the few things PC got before console, I guess. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif Too bad it's this rubbish gimmick, though.

There was a company that made a car that you could drive onto the water. At first glance, a great idea but how many do you see on the roads today? There was another company that made a jet powered car, also not many of those around either. There are numerous more examples I could give but I'll just leave it at that.

All that said, you fell for the gimmick and I find that funny. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

It was 100 bucks more for the 3d version and they through in the glasses...so yeah your right...I got scammed big time! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

As for the rest of that..never said that at all. Your just making assumptions I guess. But it is something a lot of people are showing more of a interest in...that's all i meant

Ah don't worry Pistol. I noticed that Blind makes a lot of over-reactions to people and is relatively hostile. But he makes awesome signatures and avatars! I luv his artistic talents.

I'm not trying to be offensive, but I notice it a lot. You tend to insult people for small things and get very very annoyed at people at certain times. I don't really want to bring up any examples, your still a good dude. I just know that you get annoyed sometimes.

Normal red/green glasses may not work - you should officially use the correct ones, since they do have a different tint - so if it does not work with other ones, please do not be upset http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

And which ones are the correct ones? This:
http://www.trioviz.com/en/cons...inficolor-3d-glasses (http://www.trioviz.com/en/consumer/3d-glasses/inficolor-3d-glasses) ?

Remember I have a Non-3D TV.Are them the proper glasses?

Other thing,just a quick question,the 3D used in a 3D TV,how much difference it is from this 3D used in an Non-3D TV(Full HD)?

Cheers </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Yes, these are the right glasses.
The Inficolor 3D does most likely have a bit worse colours than the original 2D picture, but what I have heard the 3D effect seems to be pretty awesome. Also, the colours are supposedly better than those of other forms of anaglyphic 3D. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Ah ok,thanks.See if I can get my hands on this glasses.BTW they are only available through this website or do they sell them anywhere else?

Cheers

Sorry but I took that as an insult. If a joke isnsults someone it doesn't matter right? Because it was a joke?

Basically...yeah. All the great comedians offended tones of people. Who cares? just words.

It's not only the words, but the attitude behind them that offends people. I have to admit, by the way you've presented youself, you come across as slightly immature and abrasive.

That's just an observation mind, I'm not saying that to offend or create resentment.

none taken..it's just how I personally feel. It just seems like a lot of people are too sensitive these days about jokes, or the attitude behind them. If someone chooses to be offended...not my problem.Get some thicker skin or ignore it. Words only have the power people give them.

Blind2Society

Oh but it is your problem because you created it. You come onto a forum and say something that you know, and perhaps intended to come across as insulting and you think it's not your problem?

You can't honestly expect to insult people and not get some back. Especialy here on an internet forum where words are all that matter.

Oh and btw, that's a nice little attempt at playing with words there. "If someone chooses to be offended..." When do people choose to be offended? They either are or aren't they don't choose to be.

well that's where you choose to be insulted..it was intended as a joke. I know you misread it or choose to take offense to it anyway. My words didn't physically hurt you..you choose to react. I'm just some random guy on the web..why would anything i say offend you? I see really raciest things and stuff like that i personally don't like. But it doesn't bother me because I look at it as just words said by someone I'll never know. I haven't been offended by anything you have said..not that any of it was even really offensive. I just laugh at you. Not because your that funny..but just at the attitude you seem to have. I could be wrong about that tho...words on a screen and all

I can say whatever i want about anything to anyone and its not my problem...freedom of speech. So long as it doesn't physically hurt anyone or threaten to hurt someone then that's the way it is. If me calling you gramps offended you so much...then, too bad i guess. Ignore it for the stupid silly thing it was or keep coming at me and giving me something to read.

AC:R...looks so sweet btw...wonder if they will do a 3D trailer...
