I don't think there will be more cities, but one of the E3 interview videos Patrice said that the cities are larger. I think he example was that Venice has 5 districts.

It was also said that the places inbetween the cities would have stuff as well. Not like in AC1. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Wasn't Rome also a city of AC 2 ?

Well they took a lot of pictures in Rome too ...(says the article from Game Informer...)

so far only Florence and Venice have been confirmed as cities (and Tuscany as the country side). Each will have five districts (compared to the three in each city in AC1), so they will be quite larger. I hope they add one more city in, but i doubt it. I have my fingers crossed for Milan being added...

at 2:25 in the G4tv video, Desilets says something, "there is roughly five cities right now" - but that sounds too much, maybe a mistake?

He could be meaning districts.

in the interview he said there were 5 districts and roughly 5 cities, so I doubt it was a mistake

I hope that there aren't 5 districts in each city, like i hope there are one or two smaller cities, a medium city, and 2 huge cities, and I hope the spread they assassinations out a bit instead of divided evenly among the cities like AC1

ya, to make it feel more natural. Like three in Florence and then four in Venice and then only a couple in the Tuscan countryside...

Wouldn't it be sweet if you had to assassinate a target on the countryside? Like, ambush a carriage on a dusty road, then escape back into the city, or hide out in a barn or something?

I also think it'd be nice if you were able to learn about multiple options for how to perform an assassination, and choose how to do it.

Say, for example, the mission in the trailer, where you pay those women to get the attention of your two targets (hopefully there are missions in-game with multiple assassination targets too).

Perhaps you can instead find a hiding place (even just a bench) near the door, and rush in and double-assassinate both of them. But then you have all the guards after you before they've even fallen, as opposed to the more elegant method where you're halfway out the door before anyone's certain who killed the first target. Or maybe there's an option to hire someone else (not the women) to cause a distraction soon after the targets arrive.

EDIT: I fogot the main point I was wanting to make - there should also be at least one assassination you can choose the location of - where there are several places the person can die, or where you can catch them in the countryside or wait until they reach the city they're heading for.

... But don't rig your horse with explosives, no. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

We could look up various historical figures that we know are going to be in the game and see what cities they lived in in the year 1486.

I'll start, Leonardo da Vinci was in Milan from 1482 to 1499. (from Wikipedia)

Possible city: Milan

I think that Machiavelli and Lorenzo de Medici were based in Florence which is already confirmed as a playable city.

Anyone know of other figures that are confirmed to be in the game?

listen to this!
http://www.gamersyde.com/stream_11552_lq_en.html

around 5:15 Patrice says

"We simply removed an empty kingdom, we recreated Italy
Florence, Tuscany, the wet lands and Forli a small town.

So Forli is confirmed. Not a city I'm too familiar with.

It sounds really good so far. So Forli, Venice and Florence are the three confirmed cities so far. I would be suprised if Rome isn't in the game.

Thanks for the video bladencrowd.
