Last weekend, I was surprised to find out I had a few extra bills so I decided on a new flight stick. With the help of the search function and Bearcat99 in the Which joystick is best for IL2? (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=23110283&m=243101401&r=863101401#863101401) thread, I found a reconditioned X45 at the
Saitek Store (http://store.yahoo.com/saitekusa/recprod.html).

Thanks Bearcat99, I now will be able to "fly" better compared to my original Logitech joystick.

Where might I find profiles for iL2 and FB for this setup?

NP.... look in my sig for the Sturmovik Essentials link. Hit it and then scroll down to Adlabs' X45 profiles. Glad it worked out. I may get a spare stick from there. Ie had mine now for over a year of everyday use and it is still going strong but when it does give in I dont want to have any downtime at all.

Thank you again Bearcat99.

I had kinda put FB/AEP on the back burner due to the unresponsiveness of the Logitech though that was many times better than the MS Sidewider I bought and tried and tremendously disliked.

I saw that, but couldn't afford it. Heck, I had the Logitech for 3 years, but found I needed something better.

I was just lucky enough to have the spare cash to get it.

Now to get FB to so snap back to center after looking elsewhere like it had in the past.

F9 wont do it ?

F9 is the default key to toggel snap views on & off

Also, if you're going to use the hat switch and snap-views make sure you increase the "pan/snap" speed to a value of upwards of 15-20 in the .ini file!

It makes ALL the difference.

I've had my logitech stick for less than 1/2 year and all ready is gone bad. It pulls to the right and won't calibrate.

I had an MS sidewinder precision pro for about 2 years never with a problem until I broke it by acident.

I'm not sure if I'm gonna get another side winder or go for the CH stick and throttle quadrant.
