I use NewView, which has a handy feature called the 'button generator' that you might find interesting... I press and hold one of my joystick triggers, and I'm zoomed (gunsight view), but it goes back to default view when the trigger is released again.

I have the buttons programmed on my joystick,
but I thought it would be a nice feature to have a smooth zoom in and out.
Meaning no graduated toggling(POV 10 20 30),it
would be very accurate and fast.

The Saitek sticks let you program the buttons using macros or "press and release" type functions. I currently have one button programmed to zoom when pressesd, returning to normal view when released. I have another button programmed similarly for wide view.

I use one of the rotaries on the X45 throttle for FOV - have to use bands for each FOV setting though.

I agree it would be much better to have it 'on a slider' http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
