I was woundering if any of you guys that are followers of Luftwaffa memorabelia have seen this yet. the film is due to be realeased in Aug 2008. It looks like it's an accurate historical film drama about the plot to kill Hitler.. Notice the restored and flyable JU-52 in the background of the photo..

I am not sure if this will be good or not. Although I have seen the first trailer and it raised my hopes abit. After seeing "downfall", I fear alot of movies will fall short. Kenneth Braunaugh always plays "good" nazis.

Hey guys!

Last Saturday I went to the -DEUTSCHES MUSEUM- in Munich. I took 879 pictures: 3/4 of them of AIRPLANES among others a BF-109 E-3, Me-262, Me-163B and the gorgeous Ju-52/3m. And if you know my style by now, I went into detailed PHOTOGRAPHY here. This means about 50 pictures per plane from different angles, close-ups of everything when possible. You name it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Now I just need TIME to sort through them all. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

This could be good. Usually when there is attention to details it is a sign of quality.
Indeed The Downfall was brilliant. It was great watching a completely objective world war two movie for once.

By "good Nazi's", do you mean that he plays Nazi's well or as sympathetic characters e.g. Nice guys? (or both?)

If it's the latter then I recommend you watch him play Reinhard Heidrich in the superb drama "Conspiracy" which recreates the meeting in which the Nazi's drew up their plan for the Final Solution. He is brilliant in the role and his character is as far from sympathetic as possible.

I await "Valkyrie" with interest.

There is a short behind the scenes clip on the Apple website. It looks interesting, though it's up in the air if I'll see it on release. Too expensive.

Due to be released in Aug 2008? I bought it last year but it's been so long since I've watched it, I sort of forget just how good it was.

It seems to me it was pretty good as I remember the feeling of frustration when Hitler survived.

Although I don't like the main actor, I seem to remember I liked the movie.

I think you've got the wrong movie in mind, This one is produced by Tom Cruise and its supposed to be a real "Big Budget Hollywood Type Film"..
They just recentley finnished filming (within the last month or so) and they're still editing it from what I understand ...

It seemed to create a lot of controversy in Germany (were it was filmed) for a number of reasons.

I think you are right. The movie I saw didn't have Tom Cruise (not a bad thing).
