I use the BFG Nvidia 6800GT OC and had a ATI 9800 Pro 256 before that.

I would go with the Nvidea 6800 GT OC for the Digital Vibrance setting and its ability to run water=3, but I'm not sure your 2700 if powerfull enough for water=3.

My buddy has an ATI 800 which does an outstanding job as well, I could never adjust my ATI color settings to match the Digital Vibrance setting of the Nvidia cards.

i had the bfg 6800gt and now im useing the bfg reguler 6800. i am very happy with the perfomnce of this card for the price. i do not oc. in 3dmark 03 i was scoreing 11,400 now i score 9,800. in games like doom3 and halflife2 i saw almost no deffernce on the same settings. i think that may be to the fact i only have a 17inch montor and play in 1024/768. if you play at a real high res then it might be a bigger deffernce. in PF the only deffernce i see is when i try to play in water=3 but even that was not major.alot of people have taken and did the soft mod with over clocking programs to unlock the 4 extra pipe lines that were disabled on the 6800 and have almost the exact same performnce as the 6800gt's. i have not done that for two resones. 1# i dont want to void the lifetime warrenty for an extra 1500 points on 3dmark 03 or 10 fps in black death track and #2 im happy with its speed now. though like i said if you have to play at higher res the gt might be the best way to go.

you may want to look into a 6600gt its cheaper than the 6800 but just as fast. the only resone i didnt get the 6600gt was only couse i could not find one.

thanks for the reply chaps http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif will probably go for the asus as its not to much more the highest 6600GT cards. it's to replace an FX5600 card which was just ****. so i'm sure there be a fair bit of improvement http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif thanks again, see you in the air http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
