Any body from Sommerville MA?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I wonder if we have a forum member from Sommerville MA?

There is a report about my oldest son in the local newspaper there.

I used to live in Somerville Ma.

Winter Hill, actually. Horrible place to be honest, not a safe part of town. But I don't live there anymore

I have a relative who lives near Davis Square, in Somerville. That newspaper link is no longer good. What exactly is the original poster seeking?

He's seeking info on one Edward Warren Murphy of Summerville, Ma. who enlisted in the RCAF prior to the US entry into the war. His Halifax bomber was shot down over Holland on Oct. 2, 1942 and he, along with the rest of the crew are buried at a military cemetary near his home in Holland.

Try this link to the article. It came up for me no problem.

Okay, that one worked. Don't think my relative could help, he's only lived there a short while. That author is looking for long-time residents who might have known him before his service.
