OKay - you have the sim installed

the first thing I am going to do is Start a Dynamic campaign (after the training offcourse) - this way I will get all the nice suprises not all at once, but gradually as the war progresses.
eg enemy aircraft trying to depth charge you, or a lone merchant in the vastness of the deep, blue sea!

Regards
Shelton.

After installation? Hmmm...

Will probably grab a drink, maybe a sandwich, relax a moment. Then off to the Carribbean where I plan to reap havoc on anything I see....

Then I'll come home and start up SH3

Its at this point, I will stop, look at my women, and then pass her the pre-bought Variety pack of vibrators. I will then tell her I love her but am going through a male menopause that involves me staying up till 3am.

LOL

After playing with the 3D camera and wow'ing at this and oooo'ing at that, I will find deep water and dive to crush depth to see what happens (apart from the obvious).

I will make my self comfortable, reduce the light from my room, close the door, look slowly at the screen, give my wife a big smile and execute the game...

After the main screens appear I will definetly go the the video preferences screen (I always do this in every game) and apreciate all... Then I will do the training missions. After that I will start the capaign, but, by that time I went to the video options screen several times, there's always something to ajust...

I will also do everything I can in the training missions, dive, fire torps, go bellow safety depth range, fire the deck gun, look at every control in every subs compartment.. Oh well...

17th march... This will be a special date to remember...http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

First of all I will watch the intro.
Then directly on option settings to push all the video options to the max. After that I will exit the game. Explorer, looking to the music files they included in the game, I will listen them to see if I keep them or replace them by a good Das boot music CD. Back to the game I will launch a mission where I will be alone in my type XXI. Test some diving capacities, going nearly to crush level then full ahead adjust dive planes max ahead min aft blowing main ballast and watch my U boat violently surfacing out of the deep. If this please me I will start a campaign and enjoy SHIII

Like most games I get that anticlimax feeling and wonder what all the fuss was about. Then weep realising I've spent 30 on a game.

I`ve been thinking about making an ISO copy of it thus deleting a few crucial files in order to make it uninstalable and putting it on the web.
Hopefully some pople would loose their temper and bought the game.
If I get two people buying the game that way it would be my contribution to Dev Tem`s efforts.

Then again it is a dirty trick......any suggestions?

I shall not do the training missions as this will altomaticaly make me feel i am playing a game and not a sim.
I will start with an early sub type 11 or V11a,at the start of the war,and use the real time journey out to train myself/crew the controls...i will then put on some records and study the recognotion manual with some beers in the captins table, popping out on ocations to have a look around for the enemy and the weather effects(i want to be the first to spot my first target).
I don't like doing training missions because,:
a.you can't get into them because you know there not part of anything bigger
b.they show you lots of ships and effects from the off, rather than you graduatly spoting these things as the game progresses and thus prolonging the honeymoon period...!!!

I don€t know why but I always open the box and get the booklet or manual out and have a good old read while eating something away from the computer, I think its just me squeezing that little bit more out of that New game feeling.

It€s the middle of March I€ll mull over the manual and then go out into the garden and work for a while etc (I€m a sad git who grows his own plants for summer) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_redface.gif. I hate playing games during the day, and a sub sim is for the night-time.

So later I€ll do the usual training then set out to sea basking in just why I bought that new computer and new 19€ Viewsonic screen and DVD-RW. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Is funny. I'm going to Japan the very next day, for ten days trip! So I'll just open the box, get the manual and have a read on the airplane. I'll have plenty of time to understand it and to remember the maths required to play! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Maybe I'll try to deliver his box to my pirate friend.

So I'll be playing for first time April 2nd! Or even later! I'll get to the forum to get some backup of how works this game!

Messervy,

Please do that threat of yours and sink ppl looking for free copies with your 'Trojan Horse' ISO copy.

They will think "Bah, no such thing as a free game, and yet it sounds so good. Dammit I'll have to buy a copy"

You will be doing your bit to help SH3 sales!

Regards,
BobTuck.
