Hi Everyone. Just wanted to say hi. PF is my first-ever flight sim and boy do I have my work cut out for me in the air.

No issues at all with hardware; running at maxed out graphics and I'm still programming my X52. I'm patched up and good to go.

A few smashed planes and hangers later, I was able to get up and get going. Former USMC so it's cool that I'm flying as one.

I also have Falcon: Allied that just came in the mail. Ugh. Homework. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Welcome aboard BW..... Thee is so much to tjhis sim it will take quite a while to even scratch the surface. If you are interested in online action then hit the Sturmovik Essentials link in my sig and scroll down to Hyperlobby. Download the client and go there. If you check out nothing else in the Essentials thread check out Airwarfare.com. It is a MUST for any flight simmer.

If you end up online, keep an eye out for members of the BlitzPigs squad (if they still even exist). Last I checked they were very easy to shoot down, so it'll help boost your ego http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Oh, and while it's tempting to use "arcade" settings when you're starting out, I'm sure many here would agree that going for harder settings right away is a much better way to learn. Learning online (once you get the sim configured and working nicely) is probably the best way to learn IMO.

Have fun!
