View Full Version : Do crewmen just stand at attention under major leaks....???

I saw some screens that are a testament to the discipline of the German U-boat crewmen, cause I've never seen such unwavering attention from a guy whose standing in water up to his knees. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Is there another (more stressed looking) pose during these events? If not how hard would it be to mod the same crewman in a slightly hunched position, with maybe an arm raised above his head?

Animations would have to be modified... I'm not sure how difficult that would be with this game engine. I guess we'll see in the coming weeks!

The more animations of crew members etc the more the drain on resources and besides if you were up to your knees in water in a sub theres not a lot you could do about it.
There would already be crew fixing the leak, so you would just carry on as normal anyway.Maybe with a slight grimace on your face as your kegs get soaked though !

I would love to see future SH3 patchs and upgrades etc to reflect as much of everything as possible in the realism of the Sim.
Then again who wouldnt ?

I would like to hang up my own pictures, photos or paintings in the Captain Cabin.

having crew scurrying around actually animated fixing damage etc is too complex at this time i guess...
think we're gonna have to wait for Silent Hunter III for fully animated damage repairing http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

If you want to see real actions then you are going to have to go to the Naval Sub School, or wait for Silent Hunter IIII.
