Is the 90mb download for IL2 FB available on a disk from any source? I have dial up and it takes about 12 hours to download the patch. Thanks for any help.

Gaming magazines tend to stock their CDs with patches, I know some from the original IL-2 were distr. like that.

You could always use a download manager and take it one chunk at a time. (Opera can do this)

File Planet and other services let you order as many upgrades/downloads that you can fit on one disc for a small fee. Forum members have sent copies to people in their area.

just an idea...

do you have any internet cafe shop near you or something like that. Where you could rent a pc with high speed internet access.... look for one side like this and DL the file there and ask them to burn it on a cd ... it is the fastes way.. and you keep the file safe too http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Good idea..... would probably cost about the same too...especially if you brought your own CD. PC Pilot or maybe Computer Pilot magazine has a CD. The 1.11 patch was on it. You can find it at Borders or Barnes and Noble.

Whats this? 12 hours....Ha! It was over 14 for me. There is a price for living in a beautiful remote desert setting and its craptastic connections, lol

We speak into a tin can here and some times we think we hear voices respond.

Now you suck it up and take it like a man pilot http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Seriously, I just start mine when I hit the sack and by the time I'm home from Phoenix the next day...time to fly. Happy hunting
