Please post us a review in here when it arrives, ok?

I would rather hear how it is before I buy it.

Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not some farcical aquatic ceremony!

I seem to detect some sarcasm in this thread. But I cannot be sure.

"Ooooh! I didn't know we had a king. I thought we were an autonomous collective ..."

"You're fooling yourself. We're living in a dictatorship, a self-perpetuating autocracy in which the working classes ..."

"There you are, bringing class into it again ..."

"That's what it's all about ... If only -"

You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!

I mean, if I went around saying I was an Emperor because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, people would put me away!

The DVD has three parts and was created from footage taken at Duxford in 1995. The quality is very good but it was taken with domestic video equipment I think. The three parts consist of:

A 50 minute film
A 15 minute minicam sequence
An interview

The first film concentrates mainly on Black 6 (109G-2) and shows plenty of footage both on the ground and in the air. There are interviews with the team responsible for the aircraft and a very interesting demonstration of cockpit procedures. There is also film of Black 2 (109G-10) both on it's own and with Black 6.

The second part is a film taken from a minicam mounted behind the pilot's left shoulder and you can see the instruments as well as outside the cockpit, the footage includes an aerobatic display. The sound was added afterwards and repeats every 10 seconds or so and it would have been nice to hear the engine from inside the cockpit.

The third part is an interview with one of the team who helped to restore the aircraft and gives a good idea of the sheer hard work involved in restoring a 109 that has many parts missing or broken.

Another slight criticism is that there is no history about Black 6 which I discovered from a search on Google was originally captured intact at an abandoned airfield in North Africa. Black 2 was a converted Buchon but a bit of background would have been nice.

This video is a must buy for the warbird fan http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif
