URL above. Anybody got any piccies or know where I can find some please? I have tried looking but can't find any http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Why? Well I am thinking of building a radio-controlled 1:96 US Alaska class cruiser so need an enemy. Given they were designed to fight each other http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

Thanks!

I tried searching the internet, but came up dry...But I will direct you to this link, which is a fanciful "what could have been" which lists and describes alternate history ships...fun site:

Did copy/paste fail?

Edit: the automated censorship modified the link... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Forced to use tiny URL to post the link:

I'll be damned, the URL has the 'wrong' combination of letters and is being censored by the forum.

Okay try this:
http://www.combinedfleet.com/kaigun.htm

...then scroll down until you come to 'Admiral Fura****a's Fleet' hyperlink, then look around.

Sorry about the mishap, I should have checked after posting. Have fun, the whole website is very interesting!

S'ok no worries! I should ahve checked back sooner & said I got it. I ahve been looking at battlecruisers & cruisers for 30 mins!

Now going by what we know about the Type A's

Main: 3x3 14" turrets
Sec: 16x1/8x2 100mm DP guns.
No torps
33 Knots
3100 tonnes (approx)

Similar size to the Alaskas so maybe around the following dimensions:

Length: 806ft
Draught: 27ft
Beam: ???

Options:

Chichibu (19000 tonnes)

Kawachi (32000 tonnes)
http://www.combinedfleet.com/fura****a/kawachf1.jpg

Aratama (42000 tonnes)

Personally I go for a modified Kawachi ie I give it the right number of sec. guns! What you guys think?
