I was private messaged about the helmet cam video of the pilot that flew the Flug 190. If you have it and would like me to post it please email me at swine@jg51.net. It might shed some light on the 190 view issue.

Thanks

If it is a helmet cam wouldnt it be on top of the head instead of at eye level? And hasnt this dog been ripped to shreds enough...... have some respect for the dead... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Enofinu we already have videos of the a few 190a d cockpits that do not show the bar at all a4 a5, then others like the a8 a9 f8 have a very tiny bar but not visable over the front dash which was higher/flush with the bar, sure when the ac is parked on its tailwheel it will appear like it does in game.

its a duel problem, ment to cover up clipping into the engine. And oleg always says how close cockpits are to originals, yes i agree, however with the models they dont seem to realize how bad the fisheyelens they use bends and stretchs the view.

shift-f1 messure the bar between the two for example. click hatswitch down or up and look how streched the gunsite is for example too.

This is also why 6d0f cant be supported and doesnt look great in cfs3, fs9 is the only game that you can lean left and right duck etc without the plane bending becuase they dont use a fisheye lens

They should be on the way. I just got an email that they are in the pipeline. I think it may be photos instead of the video. I'm not sure yet. I will try to get it up when I receive them .

I don't see it as being a dead issue. There has been sufficient evidence posted on these forums to prove that the bar that we all see in the cockpit of the FW190 did not interfere with the gunsight like the game represents.

Personally, I'd take the word of someone who has found, and posted several photos that prove the modelling to be incorrect... Furthermore I trust his word more being as he has actually sat in the cockpit of a FW190.

Or maybe I'm biased because he's my squaddie and an all around good guy.

FYI you are beating the deadest horse there is on this. It doesn't matter what information you produce, Oleg Maddox has stated long ago that no matter what information was presented to him that the FW-190 cockpit will remain AS IS in the IL2 game engine period, end of discussion.

There is most understandbly a good reason for not being able/willing to change. Whatever the reason it is their reason and their product.

Just to clarify. I'm not posting this so that there will be a change in IL-2(I realize that there won't.) However, my concern is for the sims that come out down the pipeline. New information is always helpful in regards to that.

I see it in a different way. He keeps saying that his FW is exactly how it should be. We all know he's wrong.
You see, is one thing to say : I know is wrong , i'm sorry but i just can't waste the time to fix it now. We can understand that. And another thing to say: You is Wrong, My FW is perfect.
