View Full Version : Serious Blue Screen Issues - Both PF + FB: AEP

For a while now (and increasing in frequency) I've been having blue screens whenever I play IL-2: FB. Today, I just plunked down $40 for PF and I'm still getting the same thing. I'm really REALLY starting to get pissed.

When it crashes and starts doing the memory dump, it pins it on a file called SaiNtBus.sys - but i can't find any info on it.

I've upgraded all my drivers, for both Sound and Video, and have reinstalled Windows recently (not a fresh install, but a "repair" install to correct some other issues).

My system specs are:

P4 3.06Ghz
Soyo Dragon Ultra Platinum Motherboard
Onboard C-Media 5.1 Audio
1GB PC 3200 DDR Ram
GeForce Ti4800 128MB
3 7200 RPM drives (240GB total)

Gaming Peripherals:
Saitek X45
CH Products USB Pedals

Any help or suggestions is vastly appreciated.... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I'd advise posting at the Community Help Forum, with your dxdiag. This appears to be an increasingly common complaint, so there may be a fix in the works, if not already available.

cheers

I'm assuming that your motherboard is the SY-P4X400...
...which uses a VIA chipset, so this isn't at all surprising to me. There's a reason that Intel took them to court over their chipsets and won an injunction against them.

In any event, I would do the following:

1: Uninstall your X45
2: Update your chipset drivers
3: Resintall your X45 using the latest drivers
4: Stay away from VIA products in the future. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Yes!!! Thank you so much. Started getting artifacts and BSD's (blue screen of death) after installing new video card drivers on another puter I have. At the same time I bought the X45 for it, so I assumed the new video card drivers was to blaim.

Guess who's having a mini LAN tonight http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
