I downloaded mine into my DGen file. If thats not where its suppose to be, it works for me. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif

When you extract the contents, you'll have over 200 individual items. Most of these go into your game's DGen folder.

To make things easier, first separate (move to another location) these items:
- TruePacificSkins.zip
- TruePacificBetaWarn.txt
- TruePacificReadme.txt

Read the Readme document, especially about 4/5ths of the way down where it says Installation Instructions. I'm not pointing this out to be a jerk; the document has important information and a disclaimer you should read first.

You can dump all the other items into your game's DGen folder now. (That folder will be located in your "Programs\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles" ~or~ "Programs\UbiSoft\Pacific Fighters" folder.)

Now unzip the TruePacificSkins.zip that you separated earlier. You should find find a folder named "Program Files." I recommend you keep clicking into it until you come to a sub-folder named "Skins" and copy this folder. Paste the copied "Skins" folder into your game's "PaintSchemes" folder.

That should be about it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Screenshots don't go to a special folder, they just end up in the game's main folder as numbered TGA files.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

1. In the game's manin menu, click the Pilot Career button.

2. At the bottom of the next screen, click on the "New" button.

3. On the following screen, select a country under the Air Force menu to the left. Then select a career type under the Career menu to the right.

4. Click on the Difficulty button in the center to choose the difficulty settings for the entire career. This can't be changed after you generate the first mission!

5. After setting the difficulty, return to the career options menu. Click on Start at the bottom right of the screen.

6. On the next menu, customize your pilot profile with the boxes at the top. Choose an Operation from the list at the bottom. Next to the Operation, click on the plane type to reveal if there are other planes to choose from; a downward arrow will appear next to the box after you click it if there are more planes options.

7. Click on Generate at the bottom right corner.

8. After this, the functions should be familiar to you.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

It's not a 'new' campaign. True Pacific is an enhancement to the stock DGen campaign.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

The campaigns aren't going to say "True Pacific" anywhere, but there are some new careers (USMC Dive Bomber, IJN 11th Air Fleet (land based) fighter, etc., and new campaigns within alot of the old careers. Most PTO DGen campaigns and careers have at least some small changes/improvements with True Pacific installed.
