I don't think that's very historical.

It would be cool to have it dogfight that enormous Russian plane that is already in the game.

Actually it's a myth that the Spruce Gosse was not capable or barely capable of flight. Mr. Hughes only got it up off the water for a little while on purpose because it was not yet authorized by the FAA for a test flight. He could have gotten into trouble by letting it fly for a few seconds as it was. It not only would have flown really well both up high and for long distances, it also would have flown fully loaded with heavy cargo. It had more than enough power to weight ratio and lift in the wings to do the job as well as any other large plane of the era.

I'd rather have the ability to fly the Me-321 or the 323... they were used in WW2.

Always thought it would add another dimension to this sim if we could have transport and liaison campaigns focusing on reconnaissance and supply. Whoever controls logistics well wins the war in the end. Being able to fly in the C-47, Fi-156, Ju-52, Me-323 and influencing the supply line in a campaign would be very interesting. Plus every now and then, you'd man a turret and maybe get lucky.

With the Li-2, you would be able to conduct paradrop as well as night bombing, as well as drop supplies.

Just dreaming...

Kinda like the jet addon thats coming out in the future? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Yeah, it'd be kinda funny to have that in this sim. I could imagine seeing 8 fighters jumping on it, one for each engine.

You can fly the Spruce Goose on FS2004, I believe.

If we had it I would have to decontaminate my study, make it airtight and get a sink installed in there so I could scrub my hands with carbolic soap every 30 seconds, just like the pilot did in real life.
Hows that for realism. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Convair B-36 "Peacemaker".
Still the largest combat aircraft ever.
Bigger and heavier than a B-52.

It was big and ugly, but at least it was slow.
