Sadly, on July 15th of 2005 Rote 7 was destroyed on landing, though luckly the pilot survived. the aircraft was apparently not insured, and a donation collection has been started to rebuild the aircraft.

I've seen this elsewhere on one of the forums. Yes, this is sad. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

That is a real shame.

I was watching a video of it only yesterday.

I'll be contributing to the collection, if only in a small way.

I bet Lloyd's wouldn't even touch it - probably way to much liability issues on all the old birds. Like they say, if you have to ask how much to own one, you can't afford it!

I thought it might have been a legal requirement, like you need it to drive a car.
I freely admit it's not my strong point.http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Great pity to see that plane written off.
