Thought I'd share a few photo's from the Duxford Flying Legends for anyone interested.

Please ignore the rough and ready nature of the site as it's more a dumping ground for various things at the moment http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I have not seen too often for P-39.
Another, of course is for the brave ladies, great to see this form of art still lives http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Yep, that is one serious opportunistic photographer! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif A fave of mine out of that little haul too.

You mention the monument out the back of the American display hall. You mean the glass pannels with all the etched aircraft silhouettes? Difficult to photograph due to sheer size of the thing (a reflection, of course, of the losses). I thought about making a photo mosaic thing of it, but I think to do it justice, it would have to be a semi/pro job.

I love the desert Spitfire Vc.

Also the FW190. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Sounds great, I'm a Finn but the Mighty Eighth has always had my interest. Duxford 2004, we were just retreating after a good show but I stood in front of that monument a while and (in a good hangover after Cambridge pubs preceding evening) I left it with a couple of tears, so strong that monument I found http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Beautiful pictures there! Thanks for sharing! I'm enjoying Flying Legends vicariously as I haven't been able to make the trip over to the UK yet.

Thank you for sharing those shots m8. Great job. Great camera also I might add.

I have never seen so many old warbirds in one place before. And to know these same ac have graced these same skies over 60yrs ago accumulating those kill markings.

They look as good today as they did back then I would say. Probably allot better given back then they were killing machines and weren't to worried about a little dirt accumulating on the fuselage.

It was quality show (I went sunday)

However I was briefly lost for words, then in fits of laughter at the woman commentating on the USAF Historic Flight (who put up a damm fine show BTW.)
I really didn't think peole spoke like that outside of 'Team America'.

P.S Take this as an anti USA dig if you want but it really was crass jingoistic nonsense.
