Is there any patch that makes AI AA not to shoot parachutes. Its sooo unrealistic! And too deadly...

Quiet sure. There was some incidents in war but it wasn't common.

It was more common than you think. I've read about quite a few incidents in which parachutes were shot at by AAA or by soldiers on the ground. Once they got to the ground they often had to deal with angry civilians who were known to kill them from time to time.

There is no patch that makes parachutes safe from the AI.

Oh, well *sigh*. Then bailing out in the radius of enemy AA is certain death.

Works well too. The ack doesn't ignore the still-dangerous aircraft anymore. Much better.

Do you happen to know the origin of the patch Chotaw111? It suggests the "Red Devils" which I'm sure you know is the nickname of the Parachute Regiment of the Britsh Army. Must confess I've not seen it before. I've taken a copy but would like to apply a more formal/accurate title.

The patch design comes from the nickname, given by the Germans to that Regiment during the Second World War, the "Devils in Baggy Pants".
There are 3 Battalions in the 504, and each are called the Red, White and Blue Devils. I was 2/504, a "White Devil", although I must admit that anything other than a "Red Devil" just doesn't sound right.
I am not sure who actually came up with the design itself, but that is how the design came into being.

Many thanks Choctaw111. I had assumed that the reference to 504 was sqn. I'm now guessing it is/was a US Army Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR). Didn't know about the "Devils in Baggy Pants" either but it makes sense looking at the photos. The German title "Red Devils" was to the British Army Airborne Forces because of their red berets, worn by all Brit Airborne troops. These days it only applies to the Parachute Regiment ie all battalions, (there are currently 3). Their shoulder flash was/is an embroidered maroon flying horse (Pegasus). Following the D-Day exploits of the 1st platoon, D Coy of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry Regiment, (Ox & Bucks) part of 6th Airborne Division, in taking the bridge over the Caen canal it has been known ever since as Pegasus Bridge.
BTW were the 500 series regiments all PIRs?
Sorry this has gone way off topic apologies to all. Going to "Silent Routine".
