hopefully this link will work You guys may well have seen this already but I just found it:

http://www.wwiiaircraftperform...est/tempestafdu.html (http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/tempest/tempestafdu.html)

I'm gutted about the non existant rear view in the IL2 modelled tempest, as this link states clearly how good the rear view was. Is it possible with track IR to improve the ability to look behind at all? i guess not as the plate behind the pilot is too big. I really wish something could be done to make the tempest rear view better as it's a huge negative in an otherwise lovely plane with a superbly moddelled cockpit. Anyone agree?

although this maybe hearsay to say, theres a mod which make the rear view much more accurate http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif

Done.

By the way, the mod is already included in ultrapack 1.8.

"Night Flying
10. The Tempest is very nice to handle and easy to fly at night. The exhausts cannont be seen from the cockpit and therefore cause no embarrassment."

What's embarrassing about seeing your own exhausts lol?

So the light from the exhausts doesnt ruin your nightvision.

OK cool, makes sense. Should have said "cause no distraction" or something. Kind of makes you think they would be self-conscious about their exhaust being seen :P

A better translation.... "does not act like a flare signaling enemy aircraft or blind the pilot increasing the chances he will not kill himself landing the aircraft at night"....
