Water=4 looks dramatic, is are there any others that I can max out? I tried a google search and found an ok, but really incomplete document on this.

Thanks!

For ATI users using OpenGL:

Sky=2
Forest=3
LandShading=3
LandDetails=2

LandGeom=2
TexLarge=1
TexLandQual=3
TexLandLarge=1

VideoSetupId=15
Water=2
Effects=2

Note, for example, that just becuase the "Water" number is lower for ATI than NVidia users, doesn't mean the effect is lessened. It's just a different switch for ATI vs. NVidia. The effect is the same.

Ah, so the numbers mean different things for different cards, gotcha. I have an Nvidia 7600 GT so water 4 works ( and well) on it. There's gotta be other things I can do too, as in increase the range where it uses hi detail ground textures. I was just hoping to sponge of off all of your knowledge as oppossed to changing a setting, looking in game, rinse-repeat.

Thanks again.

I tried all these settings and while the results were impressive I didn't really get wowed until I set:

HardwareShaders=1
Effects=2.

Both of those settings bring this sim on par with some of today's graphically excellent games.
