Anyone got affected by the Hurricane "Kyrill" yesterday ?

I take it that the UK didnt sink in the floods ? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

In Germany we had 10 deads so far.

Storm hits europe (http://www.dw-world.com/dw/article/0,2144,2317752,00.html)

The air and railway traffic country-wide was suspended.

Luckily , Celeon in his post-socialistic apartment house made out of reinforced concrete could only laugh as he didnt even feel a brise inside http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

But a lot of trees came down here. And the car alarms went on through the whole night http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Just wondering about that myself, I just saw it on the news here, yep, you guys made the lead story on the evening news in Sydney Australia.
Sorry to hear about the deaths and good they rescued the crew off the stricken ship in the channel.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

10 died in the UK too.

I was lucky that the wind had died down a bit before I ventured out in my truck. Even though at times the gusts were quite un-nerving http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I should post a pic of my house, it's a stilt house, on the side of a steep hill, 12m off the ground at the back. It shakes in the wind or when the washing machine is on it's spin cycle<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

If your house would had stand here yesterday you could have played the storm scene from "das Boot" on your veranda. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Just before......It would take off and the scene would turn into an airplane catastrophy movie http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

My kitchen window blown up by the wind and the power went down for a few minutes just after I saved my career game after successful convoy approach and sinking Southhampton Class Cruiser with 1 torpedo. Uff...

Celeon, thanks bud http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif, yep, we had a storm last night and I couldn't tell if it was the trees swaing in the wind or the house moving or both.
When we've built a second storey underneath, it should brace better, stopping most of the movement<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
