Fantastic site with lots of great photos. Also nice to get the squadron callsigns!

I don't know much about the U.S. Fighter Groups/Squadrons but all of these shots are of P-51 variants/or P-38Js. However there are photos labelled as far back as spring/early summer '44 and not a single P-47(any model) or P-38L shot? This i find curious.

Also i'm not sure if all the dates are correct e.g. THIS (http://www.littlefriends.co.uk/gallery.php?Group=479&Style=item&origStyle=list&Item=28&Temp=1754&searchString=) - unless they were still flying routine patrols a few months after the end of the war in Europe?

Anyway it would be nice to see an equivalent RAF/Luftwaffe site to this but i highly doubt one exists...

Plenty of P-47 reference. If you see a photo of a P-51, that doesn't mean that the unit didn't fly anything else

For example:

Yeah that's not what i said though - i said it was curious that there wasn't a single photo of a P-47 (or P-38L)...

The 357th moved to R85 (Neubiberg) in early July 1945 and stayed there to Aug 20 1946. The 355th moved to R77 (Gablingen) also in early July 1 1945. Just 2 examples.

The RAF as well.
