Ps2: Plz also send a thought to the swedish foreign minister, Anna Lindh who today died from her wounds after a brutal attack yesterday.

My prayers to the families of the fallen. I visited the site on Oct 9, 2001 and it is a very grim and sad place to be, the lost of life was/is tremendous and painful.

As an Egypt born writer/scholar said:

"...there is no he, she, him or me, there should be we. Paradise is the time when WE can live with respect to each other. God has not made us to kill each other, God gave us life to live it with others."

My sincerest condolences to all the families and loved ones of those lost on 9/11/01
May they rest in peace.

On the one hand we were all shown how purely evil man can be,
but on the other hand we were shown how selfless and caring man can be.

I'll always remember my trip to the top of the towers when I was 13 and the forty or so trips I made on the Path Train to the WTC station whether it was to connect to another train or to go outside and look up in awe while eating a hot dog or pretzel from one of the local street vendors carts.Or the time I stopped in the record store in the basement near the exit where I picked up a copy of the Black Flag Cassette I kept loosing.
And how can I forget the four or five 4th of July's when myself and afew friends would all ride the train to the WTC so we could head over to China Town on foot for fireworks.
Because of what happened these are now memories that I'll cherish forever.

Below are 4 pics taken from various places in my home town of Kearny, New Jersey.
They were completed in 1974 when I was 2 so as far back as I can consciencely remember when I looked east this what I saw.

This is the way I'll always remember them.

One last thing. To anyone reading this who is for what happened that day and is thinking that it
somehow ruined our country your wrong. It only made us stronger. And all the brave Fire Fighters, Policemen and Emergency Workers who died there are testament to that. They are all Heroes in the purest sense of the word and we will never forget the great sacrifice they made to save others that day.

Can someone design an Osama skin? Let's blow it out of the sky! Rest in peace to all whose lives were cut short. We salute you as the generation, that no matter the cost, endured, and live on! In all history, you shall never be forgotten as the ones who took the fall, but lived eternally as a reminder that freedom is not free. Just as American Fighting Men and Women do every day, you sacrificed your lives, and America shall never be the same.
It is easy for one man to have power, this is true. Yet it is not as easy for those who gain power to be remembered. Rememberance is a priveledge, and unfortunately, it's given to those things that can not be forgotten, that cannot be lost, for if they are not remembered and prepared against, the same things shall indeed happen again.
I recall the Date of December 7th, 1941, our date of infamy in which over 3000 lives were lost, needlessly. Yet, we overcame. And those deaths were not in vain. We vanquished our foes and destroyed the existence of their bravado and faith in their Emperor. Japan is now friendly to the US, and much has been achieved between the two countries. Yet we still remember. Still we live on, ever to breath, speak, and hear all that befalls the human race. And still we remember, and still their memories live on....

(lol, instead of an Air Force pilot, why shouldn't I go for Army Chaplain?)

Here is lyrics from a song by John Lenno that really sums up everything

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one

hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

This song always brings a tear to my eye when I think of Sept 11th and those that paid the ultimate price and to those that died needlessly.

Osama wanna come out and Play?

I was in Manhattan that fateful day in 2001 at the Salisbury Hotel on 57th Street and was planning to go down to the WTC area for sight-seeing at around 8 AM.As fate would have it, my plane was delayed the previous afternoon in Washington for 8 hours due to the heavy storms in the area and I didn't get to the hotel till around midnight and ended up over sleeping until after 9 AM (had travelled from Billings, Montana leaving at 6:30 AM with connecting flights at Denver and Washington) on the 11th.
Unfortunately there was an Englishman in 1 of the towers with exactly the same name as mine listed as missing.Quite a few people who knew me saw this and it really hit home when I finally arrived home and saw my obituary at the website.
My thoughts and prayers go to Richard Dawson, the other 3,000 victims and their families on this day of rememberance.

I was born in NYC. All my family, both sides, are from the city. My dad worked for the city, in the Transit Authority. My uncle was a NYC policeman.

I grew up nearby, on Long Island. I remember the Twin Towers being built. In some ways, I didn't like the World Trade Center, as it detracted from the Empire State Building, which had been everyone's favorite skyscraper for such a long time. I never really warmed up to the World Trade Center.

I'm not sure if there was any premonition in that, or not.

We drove down to Florida early in the Spring of '02. I was a little self-concious of my New York plates on my car. Because I was born and raised in and around NYC, I took the 9/11 WTC tragedy very hard. It was very personal to me, and still is. I wasn't sure how the rest of the country was dealing with the 9/11 tragedy.

We stopped for breakfast at a little diner in North Carolina on the way back from Florida. Seeing a young guy wearing a NYFD baseball cap at that diner meant a lot to me.

Salute to all the victims of 9/11, and thank you for the support from everyone around the country, and around the world.

I'd like to transfer this post over here if I may.

Driving past the base Commander's house this morning. There were three police cars out front with lights flashing. Three Marines stood at attention in the pouring rain, not moving a muscle.

They were there to lower the flag to half-mast at the time of the first aircraft impact.

There were about seven cars all pulled over to the side of the road. We all got out of our cars and stood at attention as well.

On cue, no music or anything, one Marine smartly lowered the flag as the other two saluted. Those of us in uniform did the same by the side of the road.

As we got in our cars to continue on our way, I rolled down my passenger window to tell the Marines they had done an excellent job.

As the giant in cammo turned to see what I wanted, his tears were still streaming down his face. I immediately couldn't say anything and just gave him a nod. We saluted each other and I drove away.

Tough day here in Jersey as well. I guess they were right when they said our lives, and our way of living would be changed forever.

A prayer to those who lost their lives. And a wish that someday we will regain the innocence lost.

Here's a page on www.panoramas.dk (http://www.panoramas.dk) with an amazing image of the Tribute in Light:

You will also see the Pentagon memorial in a panorama picture.

3000 people died on 9/11 2001.

Many many more in Chile after Pinochet's coup-d'etat 9/11 1973.

One woman today, Anna Lindh stabbed and killed in Sweden, 9/11 2003.

They all died at the hands of unspeakable evil, but humanity will prevail.

Liberty or death,
What we so proudly hail
Once you provoke her,
Rattling of her tail
Never begins it,
Never, but once engaged
Never surrenders,
Showing the fangs of rage

Don't tread on me

So be it
Threaten no more
To secure peace is to prepare for war
So be it
Settle the score
Touch me again for the words
That you will hear evermore

Don't tread on me

Love it or live it,
She with the deadly bite
Quick is the blue tongue,
Forked as the lighting strike
Shining with brightness,
Always on surveillance
The eyes, they never close,
Emblem of vigilance

Don't tread on me

So be it
Threaten no more
To secure peace is to prepare for war
So be it
Settle the score
Touch me again for the words
That you will hear evermore

Don't tread on me

So be it
Threaten no more
To secure peace is to prepare for war

Liberty or death, what we so proudly hail
Once you provoke her, rattling
of her tail

So be it
Threaten no more
To secure peace is to prepare for war
So be it
Settle the score
Touch me again for the words
That you will hear evermore

Don't tread on me

Just ignore typhoon.

What happened that terrible day will NEVER be forgotten by the citizens of this country.

May they all find the eternal rest that will now be lost by their murderers.

I live in southeastern Connecticut two hours drive outside New York. A woman in our neighboring town was taking her four year old daughter to Disneyland. They were on the plane that hit the second tower.

In my small town, I often walk down to Stonington Point which overlooks beautiful Long Island Island Sound. There stands a stone bench next the water bearing the words, "Look at the ocean, think of laughter, and remember me." It is dedicated to the memory of Josh Piver. Josh, 24, worked on the 105th floor of the north tower. His roommates had been out late the night before and were late for work. They survived. Josh was on time because he was supporting his mother and sister back home.

Peace to all victims of terrorism. It is a war against humanity.

"It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us-that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion-that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain..that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom-and that the government of the people, for the people, by the people, shall not parish from the earth."

-Abraham Lincoln

November 19, 1863, Gettysburg PA.

May those who fell rest in eternal glory, and their families find solace from their grief.

God Bless America.

instead of name calling and arguing, why don't we think about what happened to those people, and the ones that lost them.

It's in times like that I almost hope there *is* a God; He would know where to send cowards murdering civilians in His name...

My condolences to all of the US; we may have our differences and arguments across the pond, but when the push comes to show, there should'nt be any doubt as to what side Old Europe is on.

Salute, and God bless you, yanks...

For those who lost relatives and friends in 9/11/01 terror attack.

I dreamt
I was walking on the seashore
with the Lord by my side
And I saw on the sky, as a screen,
every day of my past life.
For every passed day, two footprints
appeared on the sand:
mine and Lord's one.

But somewhere I saw
a lone footprint
just in the hardest days
of my life.

So I said:
"My Lord, I chose to live with You
and You promised me
that You'll always be by my side.
Why You left me alone
just in the hardest days of my life?"

And He replied to me:
"My son, you know that I love you
and that I never abandoned you:
the days in which
there's only a footprint in the sand
are just those in which
I carried you in my arm".

Sorry for the bad translation /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
