No, the '46 is finalised according to RRGstudios.com, and they developed it, and there's no mention of that aircraft.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Planes is Plural.

PLANE would be singular and therefore correct.

Guess we better enjoy that one. last NEW us plane we're going to see in a Maddox sim for a long time. IF EVER.

I see it already. SoW will Start with BoB and then go to the Eastern Front, and the Manchuria.
and try to skip any area that the USAAF was in volved in.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

However, AIRCRAFT (as in "however there are American and Japanese aircraft as well flyable and AI") can be singular or plural (i.e. "I flew that aircraft" vs "All US aircraft are overmodelled" or "the P-51 family of aircraft are the Morris Minors of the IL2 world" )<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Well said. Those that do not think there is a bias here have the conspiracy problems.

No its true...http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Oleg and his team do have a specific bias against American planes...
Thats why there is no Avenger modelled in the game (The lack of a flyable Kate or Swordfish is just a smokescreen so its not too obvious)
And any perceived problems with the FMs and DMs of any US planes are purposely modelled into the sim to upset any pesky Americans who choose to fly them...Just look at .50 calibre...everyone knows it could kill a Tiger Tank and yet in this game bizzarely its seems less powerful than those 20 and 30mm Peashooters the Luftwaffe used....
Mwah mwah mwah....
I sure therere minor issues with PLENTY of planes from many nationalities...but thats not suprising is it...when you have Human Beings interpretting data for 200 planes, thats 60 years old then modelling it on a desktop computer...anyone that thinks its a big old conspiracy is just a paranoid fantasist.

I've got a serious question for this thread.

We hear people salivating ad nauseum about Luft '46 projects...I'm quite familiar with what advanced UK aircraft were in prototype and drawing board in '44,45 and into 46.

So my question is, because my knowledge is lacking here, what US projects were possible/probable if we gave the US engineers the same lassitude to develop their designs in the same improbably-quick time as the German and Soviet engineers are allowed? (ie, no likehood of a early finish to the (European) war so no slackening of pace in 45)

You can leave off the P51H and Twin-Mustang, I know about those.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

well, the P-80A , not like the YP-80 we have in game, would have become very important for the USAF in 1946 i belive.
as the from you already mentioned P-51H or L.
also P-84 Thunderjet

if you count also the Navy:
planes like
FR Fireball
F6U Pirate
FH Phantom
FJ-1 Fury
F2G Corsair http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

or the more conventional

It seems that the '46 hypothetical scenario features the removal of the Western Allies as a threat - presumably because they sign a separate peace or something. The emphasis then is on the intense warfare between Germany and the USSR on the Eastern Front.

We could debate all day the likelihood (or not) of such a history, but it seems that MG wanted a pure USSR vs Germany scenario and wrote the history to fit.

Any US planes will probably be from the Manchuria scenario I reckon.

How about this for a conspiracy:

These addons were originally for the Russian market only so its little surprise there are no US planes in it, since it was never aimed at the US market.

Thanks Franky!

Absolutely Navy as well - but that's the thing, like with the UK stuff optimised for Far East operation (Hornet, TempestII, Lincon), the USN stuff seems to see more development, understandably so, than the USAAF (or USAF)

Here is the complete JAAF film in three parts, compressed with WINRAR.

http://rapidshare.com/files/192350/Japanese_Army.part3.rar.html

To download videos from Youtube etc. I use a doanloaded stand alone app that was made specifically for doing this. It is called Hemdal and you can get it here.

http://membres.lycos.fr/tiberiusk2006/index.html

There are other methods, for example you could also search your cache file for *.flv files, or you can use the online grabbers that are available, but I find Heimdal easiest.

After I download the flv (flash video file) I then need to convert it. For this I use SUPER ?? ... available here

http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

After Super C has converted the flv video to avi (I use XVID/MP3 compression) I use virtualdub (to append them into a single file) Here is a link to a flavour of Virtuadub that handles MPEG files as well as avi files.

http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/stable/

Heimdal, Super C, and Virtualdub are all opensource apps.

That's it. It really is a lot simpler that is sounds. In fact I already did the Navy one.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
