Dang, I wish I had some vacation time left at work. I'd hop the train down to DC and check that out.

BTW - Nice train station down in DC. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I'd be there in a heartbeat if I could. Gramps and Paul Tibbets were good friends.

Bearcat99,

Thank you for the heads up. I saw Major General Chuck Yeager last night, and the experience was well worth the time. Great stories. My problem, and im hoping that you can help me, is that the Enola Gay lecture on saturday is sold out. (I know, free tickets, yet they still call it sold out...lol).

Would you happen to have a spare ticket that you would trade for me taking you out for a few beers? I live in Manassas, and from your airshow posts, you arent far from there. What do you say? Meet a fellow simmer, get a few beers, make my weekend?..lol. I am trying every approach to find tickets to that event, any help would be appreciated.

Bearcat99,

lol...we must be brothers...I work for the Govt., but my co-workers know me as flight sim guy. Yep, I know where you are. Before they built the Manassty BB, that was my primary shopping place (Close to my job as I work at Quantico). Pehaps we can drink a beer sometime.

Well, im off to find those tickets. I have a few other places to check. Chat at ya later,

S!

Hey Apache, I live and work up near the Uvar Hazy Air and Space Museum. Parking there is free after 4PM (closes at 5-5:30). Perhaps you, Bear and I can check out the museum then go for a pint m8. Celebrate the US release of PF.

There will be a Airshow this weekend near Richmond. It will feature flybys of the P-51, P-40, Corsair, and others.
