Any more info on the little blurb at the bottom about Bonfire plus three Templar maps? These are from the various pre-order bonuses and the MA edition and the European Black Edition. Might be an expensive pack, but could be worth it.

Wonder what happens if you buy the whole pack but already have some of the Templar Missions from your initial purchase?

Yep, my reaction as well.

That last item on the link looks like an extra pack with all the exclusive maps. I would be great it those were finally released, there are plenty of people who are waiting for them.

You serious!? I read somewhere that Bonfire of the Vanities would be released early Feb...

Those Templar maps are like the Assassin Tombs (I know because I have Black Edition, incase you're wondering). They only take like, 5-15 minutes to do. Still great fun, nonetheless. I was just a bit dissapointed when I first played them to see they were so short.

Yes...Exam time is then...what a great present! Get this after exams LOL. Excellent! Have you guys noticed or counted how many blank memories there are in between sequence 12 (battle of forli) and sequence 14? I count 3...I hope this one is just as long, or please be a bit cheaper.

I have two of the secret locations from my MA Edition pre-order from Game Stop. Just need the Best Buy exclusive Shipyard. Will definitely buy the entire pack of Bonfire plus the 3 secret locations if it's offered that way.

Like you said, they're short and only contain treasures, but the fun part is looking at your surroundings and trying to figure out how to proceed.

Agreed. Its fun to think... "hmm, how do I get there!" I got the Special Edition for a bargain and so will happily pay for the DLC2 + 3.

POSSIBLE SPOILER from assassinscreed.wikia.com

Bonfire of the Vanities is the latter of two downloadable contents announced by Ubisoft, and is planned to be released on February 25, 2010. Costing $4.99/£3.09, the DLC will open up the southern quarter of Florence previously sealed off and revolves around the monk Savonarola, who is controlling the city in absence of the Medici. Using the Piece of Eden; which he stole from a fatally wounded Ezio Auditore after his confrontation with Checco Orsi, Savonarola was able to control the city’s nine most influential citizens, and use them for his own means.

The DLC will offer several new additions to the game, including ten new missions, a new manoeuvre – the spring-jump – which allows Ezio to jump twice as far as normal, the southern part of the city of Florence and access to the three Templar Lairs (previously Limited Edition exclusives); the Palazzo Medici, Santa Maria dei Frari and Arsenal Shipyard.

END SPOILER

A new jump ability = sweet. The area they're mentioning...i think its that south area past the bridges, but the game doesn't let you go farther *area not available now* That would be awesome to unlock a new area of Florence and more templar lairs that us regular copy owners didn't get. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif

why does it say mid feb though? I mean what the hell does that even mean? it seems kinda vague and leaves rooms for confusions as to exactly what day it is. I just want a simple date and i dont appreciate them drawing out the suspense. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif

That's what it's said for the longest time, but the AC News page has listed the release as mid-February for a few weeks now. February 25th is not mid-February in my mind.

The release date for this DLC is officially (and definitely) the 18th now.

There is another thread with this news, but seeing as this is the official thread about the second DLC and I've found the article (http://www.strategyinformer.com/news/7024/assassins-creed-2-bonfire-of-vanities-releases-on-february-18) about it, I thought it would be best to re-post the news here.

A thanks to Cpt_Yanni who first found this news, along with two sceenshots (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5251069024/m/7321079238).

They still have to announce the 3 "excusive" maps for it. As it still says it will be released together.
