Civil aviation authorities in England issue a warning to pilots to avoid a 40 foot long inflated pig. The aeropork had escaped its tether during a Pink Floyd photo shoot. Radar contact was lost at 18,000 feet. [At this time, the sex of the pig was indeterminate. Later, oversized male genitalia are attached.]

HAHAHAHAHA A few years ago on The Simpsons, Homer went to "Hullapalooza" and he got mad for some reason and kicked a cannon, and was shot in the stomach with this wrapped up inflatable pig, which then inflated and flew away. When that happened, Peter Frampton comes by and says, "OH no, I got that pig at a garage at Pink Floyd's House"

I just now got that joke. Thanks for sharing!

Yea, One of Pink Floyd's trademarks was the giant pig balloon shown @ concerts. It started as a prop for the "Animals" album art (loosely modeled after "Animal Farm" by Orwell).

When Roger Waters (front man, lead vocals, and bass player) left the band, there was a big fight over trademarks (the band name mostly) but Roger pointed out that the pig was his idea too. The band answered by attaching huge genitalia to the pig to avoid copy write (and as perhaps a not so subtle comment on their feelings toward Roger)
