Played some great user maps on HL last week (man, I wish I could get online more often /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif ) and would like to play them offline if possible.

Where are they stored? Do they have to be renamed or are they unsalvageable?

Thanks

They are encrypted, for whatever reason...ahem...$$$, and are stored nonretrievably in your netcache folder. Asking the host to send it to you is your only option.

Or, use the FMB to recreate one to call your own.

the more payware the better

at least you might get a reasonable product instead of all the crap that floods the MS simulator download sites that some dude has knocked up after a few beers on s Sunday afternoon .. most of it is poor quality and buggy

the real quality MS addons (like the dreamfleet Archer) are commercial releases that cost as much for one plane as the whole of FB and people are happy to pay it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

and anyway

what on earth has Barbarossa got to do with it ??

they were offline campaign missions, 300 of them in a scripted campaign, you were never going to get them turning up in your net cache, the skins mebbe but not the misions

I hope oleg decides to make mis's transferable thru net cache in the patch, the more payware non ubi addons the more separation in the community.

i think being able to load mission out of the cache again is a good idea

i just do not see how it the encrypting of it was connected with payware offline campaigns like Barbarossa because they will never be in the cache to download in the first place

You are the first one who is actually positive about the M$ commercial add-ons!

I think the M$ community is one of the most creative ones in the whole FS world. You can get payable add-ons but, many things you can get for free or make it your own without much trouble. There is alot of crap at the download sites but, there is also really some jewels of perfection floating around the various download sites. I like small and unusual (water aicraft) also and I really found some Gems for fs2002.

My stanards for fs2002 downloads are quite high.

Can you say wich sort of aircraft you are intrested in in FS2002?
