N.Korea accuses South of border incursion (http://www.radioaustralia.net.au/news/stories/s1929901.htm)

"If the South's military ignores our warning and sticks to military provocations like this, it will be forced to take full responsibility for all consequences,"

I dont like the sound of that. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Nothing new, only reason we're taking notice of it in the media now is because the North is trying to get a rise out of people.

The South and the North have been raiding across the DMZ for decades, since the cease-fire at the end of the Korean War back in the fifties. Nothing new. For example, SKOR special ops apparently go across the border quite frequently, and NKOR special forces have apparently even kidnapped film producers and other things and people of that nature to pander to Kim Jong's little film hobby.

I know one of these movies http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

North Korean Parade (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSN7vZZZa44&mode=related&search=)

They have quite some marching skills. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

But somehow they lack the appropriate music http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Thats what it must sound like http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Wachbataillon Berlin greets the Turkish Prime minister (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woKOx2x3jns&mode=related&search=) (Celeon was there during his army time http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif )

Not my favourite Chancellor though http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

If the Silent_O would be here, he would accuse me of secretly forging a new German-Ottoman allaince like in ww1 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And a parade at night can also look impressing http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

And Messervy managed to fill himself with grief by finding this.... Not so long ago in a distant land (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIu8KjisFtI&mode=related&search=)....the music is fine, the helmets too, but the country is wrong.

Why am I not allowed to have a private platoon.http://foolstown.com/sm/bur2.gif

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif Chile again ! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Its not just their helmets http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Copycats... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Talking about copycats :

What is it called when those u.s marines do this awesome show with their Garand rifles ?

You know, swirling them through the air and make this dance style drill stuff ?

They always score with it at those international military music competitions.

So the Wachbatallion does it like China now. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Copying is the answer http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Here is a video that shows their very first attempts http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I like the scene when that wasp attacks them http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Wachbatallion copies u.s marines show (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWqHdmbTH3w&mode=related&search=)

I bet that training was pretty dangerous.....imagine a 4,5 kg heavy K98k flying through the air and hit someone's head http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

After 10 days they are already pretty good dont you think ? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

I think M-1 Garands are even heavier, but when these copycats got their grasp they look good indeed.
I just don`t understand the kneeling bit.

Well, no doubt the whole Marines' rifle twirling thing can be traced to something else too.

I spent three tours in Korea and while it was a while ago I doubt things have changed that much. Holidays across the border where practiced by both sides. Bullett-riddled bodies were often being hauled out of the Han River and shown on TV, weapons all laid out for public viewing.

We often said that we were in Korea to keep the South from going North, while it was usually said in jest, there was an underlying truth in the statement.
