Excellent. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
Apart from the usual bits about the gameplay features, this also sheds some light on the design of the plot. He said something about that the assassins thought that everything was an illusion and that if you somehow could "see" the illusion then you could use it to your advantage. This would fit right in with the future/simulation aspect of the game. He also talks about templars and how they suddenly disappeared along with the hashishin. This would imply that they're building on that basic conspiracy theory about them still existing today only operating in the shadows and staying out of sight. Towards the end, he almost say too much when he says something about how the assassins never managed to kill Saladin, but "maybe in our game they will"? Also something about the historical fact that Richard the Lionheart hired the assassins to kill some french king in Jerusalem so that he could install his cousin there instead.

Intriguing indeed! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

Neither the hashashashin nor the templar disappeared suddenly, the hashashashin lived through a couple of of setbacks in the 1200s including an attack on their stronghold which dissolved the group and the members joined other factions.

The templars gained so much money and power during the crusades that the pope saw them as a threat and issued an order to kill all templars.
Very few survived and almost all of their riches was captured by the church.
I dont think that any surviving templars saw any reason to keep the society alive since their whole idea is based around being the soldiers of god.
And with a pope trying to kill them their conviction must have been that god no longer has any use for them...

But still, I always enjoy some conspiracy theories, and it's a very exciting topic to make a game about...

He says, "you can really create your own path kind of like the guy in france do le parkour", le parkour is a "sport" with french origin.

It's kinda like freerunning only these guys go HIGH, the best ones usually jumps down from 70 feet high buildings by jumping from balcony to balcony etc...

Le parkour isn't like free running, it IS freerunning

No, it isn't.

Parkour is focussed on getting from A->B as quickly as possible. Freerunning is similar but with more of a focus on doing things that look "cool". (I think I have that the right way round)

Think of them as being like Karate and Kung Fu. They're both disciplines of the same sort of thing, but there are obviously differences.

And here I was, sitting, thinking ''Patrice!? I thought he moved to THQ! Yay, he's back!'', until I figured out that it's about AC1.
