The arresting hook on my bf-109G10 won't go down! This bug must be fixed at once! You don't expect me to fly a IJN plane, do you?

I petition Maddox games to fix my tailhook!!

Hit the F13 key to release the BF-109's arresting hook!

I figured if you just held the power button in long enough it would drop down http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Don't forget to use the Fantasy Mission Builder (FMB) to set up carrier missions with the Graf Zeppelin.

You have to fly inverted, silly troll.

Or did you think that was an antenna or something?! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I actually landed a 109E on the deck of the generic japanese carrier and managed to get it stopped before I ran out of room too!

They keycard says the tailhook is Undefined. Do you have to assign a key yourself?? Is that true??

This is called Pacific Fighters isn't it?? Don't they thing you will need your tailhook??

Yes you have to manually assign a tailhook key.

As for the 109 tailhook, well i'm pretty sure that the pilot has to manually hop out and lower it himself.

Understandably the 109 was not a popular carrier bird for that very reason.

Try Alt-F4. If that doesn't work, open a DOS Window and type Format C:

It's much easier to catch a 3-wire with my nosehook.

Crash you know dam good and well that 109's don't belong in the Pacific. and the rationel that there was a German squadron operating 109's in the PTO to justify them in that theater just don't jive right. it's simply a desperate ploy by some of the German squadrons to gte thier precious 109's & 190's in the pacific. Well http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif boo hoo hoo for you. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

besides you luftwiners have been beat real good. The war in Europe is over and the good guys win. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
Incase you havnt noticed the world has moved forward for the better. Besides you can always do like every other axis player in the PTO and fly Ki-84's...a plane more UBER than anything in the German arsenal. lol http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

So that's what that annoying German alarm I keep hearing is! It's the "TAILHOOK ACTUATOR FAILURE" alarm. Bugger.

i agree ,i think its a conspiracy because i cant find it on my Dora either so they force me into a crappy rice paper wannabe figther called zero

oh and when did the ki-84 came available between
1941-1943 with a tailhook for carriers ops? the answer is NEVER
so im still stuck fighting in a zero vs F4U-1D/C's seafires and hellcats http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

pain.......

Now that is funny.

I painted me a cool lookin 109T like skin, slapped it on a 109G2, took off from the lexington with no problem-o

Now landing is a different story. Cant seem to engage the hook on the G2 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Talking of armor protection, that's another thing I hope Oleg will fix. Every time bullets or cannon shells hit my plane, they cause damage or sometimes even kill my pilot. Please fix this so that it doesn't happen again ! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Somebody did actually model the Graf Zeppelin a while back and tried to get into contact with Oleg IIRC.

I guess nothing ever came of it.

Was anyone on Il-2Center (back in the day!) during the Gibbage vs. Razor "Lets build the Akron and Macon" battles? They didn't need a tailhook, they needed a winghook!
