Does anyone have any experience running Il-2 1946 (or any predecessor other than original Il-2) on a MacBook?

I'm considering whether to buy a new computer or try to run it on my wife's MacBook, which has a GeForce 9400M integrated graphics unit, 2 GB RAM, and a 2 GHz Core 2 Duo.

If anyone has played with a similar setup, I'd be interested in knowing what graphics settings you were able to use to run smoothly.

Thanks!

Hope you aren't talking about the MacBook Air, 'cause if you are you can forget about it.

Other MacBooks should be fine, though I didn't know that OS compatible versions of IL-2 were made.

Thanks. It'd be running on Windows on the Mac.

I'm running Il-2 1946 v10.01
on a MacBook 2.26ghz Intel + 2gb memory,
works fine at maximum settings.
I'm running XP sp2,
using "Bootcamp"

Importantly, if I attempt to use openGL il-2 locks up.
so I'm using directx for graphics.

I run it using bootcamp as well. It runs well but the computer gets very hot. I just use it for mission building when I'm on the road.
