I plan to get the Ultimate version of Vista, but i want to know if it will work without any problems.

I'm asking because of the troubles with OpenGL and finding drivers that work without any problems.

If you have all this cash to waste on Vista and if this computer of yours is largely for gaming then I think you would be better off splurging on trackir. My 2 cents.

I don't have the cash yet, not until March 24(birthday). Well i have it all figured out. Since my Girlfriend always asks me what i want as a gift every time, I will ask her for Windows Vista,(It defeats the meaning of the surprise, but in the other hand I will hopefully get what i want).

As for the TrackerIR i will ask my brother for that.(works everytime)

Now to the Video Card, well I have most of the money i need. So with a gift card from my parents, I will have the money to me a brand new
Radeon X1950PRO:

I bet this video card will finally give me the fps I want.

Also there is a second option, a brand new computer.( not the best option because in a year once SOW:BOB is out i plan to buy a new computer, that can run SOW:BOB ob high settings once they tell us the minimum requirements)

After that happens i can plan on what to buy.

I love it when a plan comes together!

To answer your question, yes 1946, FBW/AEP, and PF all will run well on Vista.
Im running a new Velocity Micro PC with Vista Home Premium, core2 duo. 2gb ram 320gbhd nvidia 6700gs, and is tuned for gaming.
Make sure that if you convert from XP that your system is capable. Also please check the differences between Vista Home Premium, and the ultimate. Home P. has everything that Ultimate has except alot of stuff for business applications and folder security etc.
Hope Premium is very gamer friendly with a seperate game section for all ones games Icons, game folders, and more that I havent had time to explore yet. Ultimate no doubt has this feature too, but is more expensive and there is alot of bloat that I personaly dont need on a gaming PC. However if youre running a business too there is probably nothing better.
Best of luck and I hope you get all your wishes, and presents.
