A look at the new NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX 512 that includes Pacific Fighters in part of it's test.

After playing several games that are CPU bound, the capability of turning on 8sAA and 16xAF and enjoying the clarity and speed of these cards in SLI is something to be experienced. Being able to fly right up to the rear of an airplane and see the detail as the tail gunner is shooting and his spent cartridges are flying out of the guns is awesome.

Interesting stuff, it clearly shows PF CPU bound, which means you can up the AF and AA to your heart's content and it won't hit the frame rate with this monster card, or the lower GT's in SLI mode.

I wonder what on earth BOB will need to do it justice - something beyond an Athlon FX-57 or Athlon 64 X2-4800, but if need be you could SLI 2 GTX 512's!!!! - as in their photograph with the X-Fi sound card sandwiched in between them. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

I think BofB will work fine with a Fx processor, people exaggerate way too much what BoB will need to run, it makes me chuckle.

I am thinking that 1C is going to be using code that will use CPU power more efficiently... I am wondring what effect the new PPUs will have on BoB and it's performance as well.

Yeah I hope that with BOB they can take advantage of dual core if you have it. But I sure do love flying with 1600x1200 and all the eye candy turned on.

You guys may see me flying around as =JFC=Scott

Check out the new Asus dual GPU card that emulates SLI on one card. It ends up only having 20 pipes instead of the dual-card SLI 28 but without the SLI bridge to ramp accross it almost equals the true SLI performance...in one slot!
