Nothing incredible but on the Italian biplanes, Hurricanes, some Yaks and I'm sure a few others, the firing button(s) on the sticks move when you fire the guns.

This thing keeps surprising me...

Not all planes have this feature, but many do.
Fire the cannon on the Zero and look over at your throttle lever.
You will see the firing handle on the throttle move when you fire.

1. Turn trim and you`ll see trim wheel move. Same with Throttle.

2. Flaps and gears button on some planes like Spits move too.

3. If japanese target site is smashed, iron site moves in place.

4. Open radiater and look outside plane, you`ll see radiators opening.

5. Fire guns and look outside, you`ll see ammo shells falling behind.

6. Personnel in some AI bombers will move about different gun positions depending where bogey is.

7. Pilot`s head moves with target.

8.Day/night is also in realtime. Leave your game running till night and in IL2 it will be night too.

9. Fire guns on ground and plane will move slightly backwards. use if trying to slowdown on landing as last resort.

etc, etc, etc...

excellently well made game is IL2. I hope SOW will at least match it.

I am sure that SoW will exceed it in every aspect.

Sillius, I presume you are aware of the vastly superiour Soviet electromagnetic pencil technology, as demonstrated in the TB-3?

If you aren't, I suggest you take one of these awsome beasts up, move to the bomb-aimer's cabin and waggle the stick around while observing the chart table...

The Pencil is a clear example that the soviets collaborated with dark forces that have the power to alter the principal force in the universe, gravity. And then they say Hitler was into the occult, pff! The other proof of soviet meddling with dark energies is the I-185.

Really? I did not notice it, and this is the first that I have even heard of this.
Well, of course now I will have to check it out the next time I fire up Il2.

The first time I saw the enemy getting out of their trucks while strafing a car column I was surprised.
Still like to see this. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

The new Czech biplane thingy (can't remember the name) has a funny ammo counter setup where you can see the bullets in a see-through window thing in front of you below the instruments. As you fire the ammo belts spool out before your eyes. Took me a while to notice this.

If the weather is set to rain, the windscreen wiper on the Mosquito F.B.VI actually works and stops automatically at a certain speed. You can even hear its noise http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

You can even hear its noise

Highly realistic, when sitting between two 1000+ HP engines and wearing earmuffs. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

You can hear the noise when sitting on the ground with the engines out http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Actually, it is. Consistent rhythmic noises (such as engines at steady RPMs and load) tend to get filtered out by the brain.

Yeah, I think the first time I noticed this was on a Mig-3 in a very early IL2, even before Forgotten Battles came out. But maybe it's not a firing button/lever, but a braking lever?? Whatever it is it's on the Mig-3s stick.

When you turn on the cockpit lights on later Zero's, the map light turns on and it flickers from vibration.

on the wildecat when you raise / lower gear, you see the lever spinning around.

Also the sound of engines, and machine guns changes when you open the canopy . . .
