I found this interesting thing about Erich Hartmann. It tells hes life story, like what he did before the war, hes first combat mission, and other stuff he did in life. At the end it tells about when a USAF pilot in hes P-51D mustang engange some 109's over Romania, and how one of them is Erich Hartmann, dont know if its true or not, but a very cool dogfight story.

i think your misstaking hartman over in a 109 over romania fighting againt mustangs making them go attack some vvs aircraft

let me be clearer my post was not well written , hartman was over romaina he atacked some p51's from above and if i remember on down to a near russian flying unit then shot down one of them the p51 chased him the russians went up looking for more the two groups met and had a nice furball

i finally read the pdf so i might be wrong maybe it was over chz where this happend, my father now has my book so i cant check, but i sugest you read "the blonde knight of germany" by him... that was the us title it is a good book S!
