I noticed one day in the FB editor, when I had the Marat close in to one of my bases, it was shelling the helling out of it, which was cool. I noticed however that the gun flashes on the Marat and subsequent explosions on land, were the same as for a destroyer, basically a *puff*. I'd like to see something a bit more appropo for the big guns on the Marat, or even a cruiser for that matter. How about it modders or Oleg?

Just a thought to improve the game a touch... /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Ya, I also think that the explosions should be in tune with the speed of sound i.e. you see an explosion then you hear it a little later, like OFP. btw...Nice to see ya here PCPilot, cya at the Biohaz boards!

Hiya Todd! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif Heard you was over here too. Good place to pick up the latest IL2 news for you newsdudes... /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

I agree, the sound coming a little after the boom is cool depending on distance of course. Wonder how easy that would be to model. They already have sound atenuated as you move away or closer. Now delay it as you suggest according to distance too and it will be realistic. Good point.
