The TX-OC3 was the server that made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs. She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts.

Sweet deal...I'm almost never on UBI.com anymore (after using HL, UBI.com software is just too unstable and too laggy to use) so this new server should be a awesome location! I'll check it out.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Thanks to the TX Squad for a most excellent server, You are a truely community orientated squad http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I was lucky enough to be present and get an early view of your server while it was being tested http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif,I had a ping of 200 but the server was very smooth and I did not notice any lag at all.

On the map I used, the ground war which had been moddelled was superb and is an attraction by itself!. The bases were far enough apart to allow flight time and tactics, airfields were well protected with two or more availabe to each side. Ground forces were awsome and I have never seen anything like it on anyones server!.
I will be a frequent visitor to practice my ground pounding. Thank you and Salute to the TX-Squad your efforts .

Make the time to visit this server ... then lose the time while your on it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Merry Christmas!

We may enable outside views and add in certain AI aircraft, notably the PE8 just for the sheer mayhem of dropping nukes on the german positions. I like this map so much that I sort of prefer it to be purely historical or as close as I can get it with the information I have, so maybe no AI at all. Currently there are no mustangs, hurri's or any of that, but I did include the P39 because it is now totally a Russian plane in my mind http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'm going to do some research on what squadrons both sides flew (there is an abundance of ground unit info, air wing info is more scarce) because I think with the effort I've put into it I'd like to have even the plane types down the real detail.

Plans are to expand this particular mission up to 6 other variations depending on the day. This mission covers the estimated action that occured on July 12th, which was the last day that Operation Zitadel really had any kind of chance to succeed.

Suggestions welcome btw, I'm open to hear anything.

Yum Yum and others who have said good things about TX and this mission, many thanks. It's always nice to hear positive feedback and I am humbled that you guys liked it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I went ahead and started a new thread since this one has drifted away from the OC3 and towards the scenario itself:

Thanks again all for your feedback and kind comments, hope to see you all on the OC3 soon.

I like outside views...probably unrealistic but I tend to think of my FB experience as a gritty war movie.

Zen, i have flown in your server since it first came up, and i intend to continue to do so. In my opinion, it is one of the best out there. I liked it better with outside views, but i can handle them disabled. One day you and me will finish our 190 duel!!

I was over on your server earlier tonight. There were 4 or 5 there when I joined, but within a couple minutes, all players had been autokicked for ping.

Seemed smooth while it lasted though, and the map seemed like it would work well.

ZEN, For the life of me i cant seem to join your server. I changed my registry settings ect to reflect ubi servers. I usually connect my games through ASE, I cant seem the |FAST| servers through hyperlobby. When I connect through ASE it loads and sits there in limbo on the loadup page and only gives me an option to cancel not join. I only fly with cockpit on and scripted servers. I'm dying to try this server...please help!

Gates,

The IP for the TX server is 209.163.147.67:21000

We're running on HL because of stability problems we had with UBI. I haven't used ASE in a while, but I can do some testing tonight to see what the issue is.

Let me know if connecting directly by IP works, I read somewhere a while ago that the DS prevents direct connections.

|Fast| is up on UBI btw, I'll check with SpaRX tonight to see what his thoughts on ASE are also.

You cannot join a server in the UBI lobby via IP or ASE or Hyperlobby. If the server is launched via Ubis game launcher, you need to join it thru Ubis Lobby. Sorry for this. I am currently trying to come up with a better solution as UBI drops the server off the list all the time and they dont seem to care about it. I would move the server to Hyperlobby, but i have tried it in the past, and no one played on the server when its was hosted there. When the server is hosted on UBI, i have a full house just about every night.

So to sum this up.

If a server is launched via UBIs lobby, it must be joined only thru UBIs lobby.

If the server is launched to join via IP, you can join the server by IP or thru ASE as well.
If the server is launched via Hyperlobby, you can join the server via Hyperlobby, Direct IP, or ASE.

I'll keep you posted on what else i come up with

Zen, I've tried connecting directly using ip and I get an error saying something about TREE network, WTF is that? I can see the |FAST| server on ASE but it just wont connect past the loadup page. Talk to Sammie at greatergreen cuz it works fine on that server using ASE and I know alot of ppl like ASE for other games too, great proggy. I'm confused on why I can't log on to |FAST| servers

gates123

Ok so after reading the last post (which I didnt), I can manually log onto your only if your not on ubi. As of now is the server on hyperlobby, if so then i should be able to log on using ip in ASE correct?

gates123
12-23-2003, 05:41 PM
Once more thing... I think if you guys make the |FAST| server available on ASE (loadable) you wont have any problems filling it up. I know thats what greatergreen uses and they are at max capacity all the time

FAST_SPaRX

you can now join the |FAST| server thru ASE or direct ip adress.
