all this stuff about legal battles with Northrop, comments about collusion with MS et al,and defacing of website is all seeded in one thing.

Pure and simple jealousy over the best WW2 pacific flight sim ever made.

An unfortunate but real aspect and simple human trait. Apart from greed which is also very present.

One thing is for sure everyone in the flight sim community knows that Oleg and Ubi Soft were the first to come up with the best WW2 Pacific Flight sim ever made.

We all know in our hearts and minds this is the truth. No one but no one can ever take that away.

Give em hell lads

So a multi-billion-dollar aerospace company is jealous of a video-game company? Really? That makes sense to you?

It's envy, not jealousy. The two words mean different things. Lot's of people use the word jealousy when envy/envious is what they really mean.

I'm inclined to agree with this thought. Why haven't there been any copywright issues with Microsoft for CFS2 ? Why no issues with all the freeware copys of their aircraft that is made for MS 2004 ? Why not no issues with Lucas Games
when they came out with "BattleHawks 1942" ?

It seems strange only this flightsim is a target.

All fellow flyers. Shouldn't we stop this squabbling amongst ourselves. We come to this site surely because we love this whole IL2 series!!
We should be getting behind the games developers and giving them our full support for a fantastic effort so far. Sure, there are things that aren't perfect, but you can say that about most games. You know that you can't please everyone.
Having a go at someone because they may have used the wrong term or saying whilst trying to express their support for the Maddox crew is not really something we need to do is it? Is it?

I must submit that we purge the phrase, "It's all about...." from our language forthwith.

Please?

One of the links where this issue was being discussed mentioned that Microsoft WAS facing the same issue. And it is not only this flight sim...others hobbies have faced this issue as well.
