Is the score system "fixed" in FB??
It's the "most buggy" part of Il-2 to me /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif .

So I often wonder why I get only 10% score after Landing on Field just because my fuel is gone... Hey the plane is in one piece!
Same happens if engine isn't able to run due to other causes like overheated too long, oil lost, shot etc.
These collision -400..... Especially in Airfield area /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
There's more, I don't want to tell it all /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif . I just want to know if there's been worked on a bit /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif - isn't in official list /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif .

-400 is ok but should only happen in Air not on ground.

The joke is that the Plane that stands still becomes -400 if others ram /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

And Landed should be registred as Landed at AF even if plane crashes at AF(Crash not explod /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif )

The Guys from IOW Staff made there the outstanding Battle Report that can register all this details /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
This should be possible with standart IL2 Point system!

-400 should ONLY be given when a team plane is SHOT. Collisions can happen everytime, we don't have the awareness we had in real planes, so -400 here is not good. Should be counted as crash.

No -400 for Collision is good.

People have to watch were they fly.

I don't think so becuase it is usually the plane that could do nothing that gets slammed for points. For example, I am attacking an enemy plane and some punk races in to steal the kill, he smashes into the back of me killing both of us. I get the -400 even though he was definatly at fault.

Yep, that's one point.
Another is formation flying; often there's warp/bad (LaGGy /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif ) connection -> that leads to collisions not even rarely (OK echelon works, but sometimes a line... bang)

And I have to mention that most times the pilot gets penalty for collision who even tried to avoid it /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif . That's fact.

Total agreement here Death. -400 for collision is nonsense. further more the whole collision thing (friend or foe) seems silly to me. You on someones 6 making a hign speed pass after which you plan to' drop under you target then ZOOM. But the ZOOM never comes because the target freaks... rolls then pulls right into your path. NOthing you can do. BOOM you are toast but the target gets credited with a kill... and also the target putts away with out even a scratch....silly NO?

That's not always the case, though. I've been rammed by kill-stealing punks three times (was killed, of course), but each time the punk was the only one to get -400. I was only dead (infuriating enough).

I'd like to see kills awarded for tarans. If you didn't get a shot into a plane before you ram it, you don't get credit. Also, is it possible to award a kill to whoever did the most damage to it rather than the one who shot it last?

This is an important one, IMO. I had a pair of pilot kills the other day; I saw "XXX fills YYY's body full of bullets" on the screen, but I never got credit because other people put more bullets in the plane on its way down.

I felt cheated. Please fix.

another thing I noticed today. Normally 70% score should be given when emergency landing. Problem here: Only works if plane has no scratch. Only one sinlge 7.62 hit will cause the game giving only 10% score, like crash... weird.

BTW not mentioned in this thread: I like the Warbirds score system, which could be "copied" /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif to Il-2. Of course it must be more complex, like the Marat should give more award than a G-5 Torpedo Boat. Similar for tanks/trucks etc. Godd one about that system is: Gunnery and rocket/bomb accuracy is also influencing the score. Even a succesful landing gives award (for surviving the mission).

I really must admit, Il-2 is the best sim out there, FB makes it 3 times better, but the actual score system is crap because of many bugs /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif . But not everything can be perfect - your great support is a method to make it closer to perfect /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif .

Rgr that, I fully agree here - the score system for dogfighting is one of the last remaining annoyances I have with IL-2. I've said it half a dozen times before and I'll say it again - I wish the score system was done away with and instead it simply displayed your kills and your deaths with the whole 'S' key list ordered by kill ratio. It would be much more meaningful.

For ground targets destroyed you could show it as a seperate stat or have it binded even to another key other than the 'S' key which would display the player's more detailed stats (i.e.rounds fired, accuracy, bombs dropped, ground targets destroyed,... and no, I'm not talking about using >user 0 STAT /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif ).

Regarding the -400 penalty for friendly kills, accidental or otherwise, I would prefer the penalty be reduced to -100 or -1 kill (per my suggestion above), as I find -400 a bit too draconian especially when the penalty is applied to the player who wasn't at fault. Another good feature would be the ability to add kick settings which would instantly kick players if their score went below, say, -1000 (or some definable <0 value). This would get rid of some of the griefers I've seen on the servers in the past couple of months.

I hope that this post gets read by someone who has the power to authorize and implement change. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

1 point for a kill, 10 for a kill + landing, 15 for 2 kills + landing 20 for 3 kills + landing would be nice, and no minus points for collisions, only when you shoot a teammate's plane.

And also make n00bs aware that a game where tags (icons) arent on is NOT a deathmatch!!!! /i/smilies/16x16_robot-wink.gif

I cannot comply with all those points brought. I second that the collision-detection respectively the "awarding" of points in friendly collisions should be fixed, but all in all i'm really satisfied with the scoring system.
There could be introduced more levels for harder or bigger targets and ststic objects like factories or fuel tanks nevertheless.

Yep, a list will kill ratio. So the player who makes some kills without being shot down would be upper in the list that the player who shot many aircrafts, but with losing also a lot of aircrafts.

i realy don't like CS but the score system is even better than the one in FB (at this time).
I'd prefer something like the scoresystem used in worbirds.

Who cares about points ,i only count the air victories that i got and survived (bailed out/landed).

But you are right that the point system is pretty dumb.

There should also be a team score based strictly on kills. Blue team XX kills Red team XX kills. One point one kill. That way it would help to cut down onsome of the disgruntlement over so called killstealers who are sometimes opportunists and sometimes jut trying to win for the team...which isnt reflected properly iMO.

I just thought of something...is that what the team rooms do in HL? Ill have to take a look at that.
