Had been racing to get into position to attack a convoy east of Halifax when another that had not been reported got in the way, this new convoy was to far for me to attack it instead but close enough to force me to submerge to avoid the escorts radar. When I finally resurfaced I resumed the chase against the original reported convoy but soon it became clear I was never going to get in position in time, and with daylight only a matter of hours away those Catalinas would soon be overhead. So worked myself into position to try had take a couple of pot shots at the flank of the convoy, figuring at least a small amount of materiel might be stopped from unloading in Liverpool; then I came across this in the scope, I'll let the screenies tell the rest.
