I was flying the P-38L today, not my usual mount but fun to ground pound in. Anyway, I look up and there's a mirror up there! I hadn't seen that before, is this new with 3.04, or am I losing it?

A lot of allied aircraft have mirrors - assign a key for it in controls.

I know many planes have mirrors, I almost always fly with mirrors on, my question was wether the mirror in the p-38 is new.

No, was always there I think.

I have found that sometimes the mirror - in P38's - is there, and sometimes it is not. Go into "Controls" and bind a key to "Toggle Mirrors" and you can then bring it up or make it disappear at will. P47's, Corsairs and Mustangs function the same (at least on my machine)

I have found the mirrors useless. To use them you have to completely change views. Their cool though.

UNLESS you have TrackIR and then they're VERY useful

P38 mirror has always been there since FB/AEP.

granted they could eat a little frame rate but if you check out my specs no worrys m8 - besides if they weren't useful why'd they put them on the real thing? and THEY could see a heck of a lot better than the view you or i get http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
