I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in starting an ongoing patrol campaign. Here's how it would work. Everyone thats interested would start the game with a Type II boat. We would leave port.(When ever you chose to start the game.) Use actual real time to get to and from port, engage enemy so forth and so on. At the end of the patrol. All U-Boat captains would then send out a patrol report to other captains in the campaign to show how they fair. This would run for a month of real time or longer. If you should perish then the end of your log should state "Sunk all hands lost."
The point of this is simply to keep in the spirit of sub warfare and fun play.

Good idea. Little bit hard to do, but remember: at the begining of the war, there were just a bunch of subs at sea. So if only four people is able to do so, they will be portraiting the real thing.

Sounds a bit like the "Wolves at War" group. I checked their web site - a very involved campaign. Check with "The Avon Lady" for details.
