I remember in the trailers for the game the developers showed off a new acrobatic move where you flip up onto a wooden beam instead of simple climbing up it. Where and how do you do/get the ability to do this in the game. I can't seem to find a way to do it on any other websites/forums.

yeah, thanks for the tips. I looked around the forums some and from a horse is seems to be the only way to do it. I was getting excited that I could possibly flip crazily everywhere.

go into the country or in some back alleys and look for open beams (gap in between them), time your jump right and you'll jump onto the first pole, do a flip thingie and then jump onto the other one and if you do it right, then you can jump back onto your horse

There are two reasons why you can't do it on foot:

1) The beams are usually too high for Ezio to reach from the ground. So *usually* he either can't reach or is high enough to simply jump onto the tops of the beam anyway. But the main reason is:

2) Ezio is travelling faster when on the horse, so he has enough momentum to do the move. Come on, you can't expect an old man like him to flip using his own speed, can you?
