That is just insane. I'm surprised the authorities allowed flying through such a small space as part of a competition.

WHY DO U THINK they did it on budapest? not usa nor canada allows those kind of thing endangering 900000 expectador http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif here on usa and canada dont allow any plane doing a stund while his nose is aiming at the spectadors, thats why in europe and asia they have nicer airshow... but u know how many espectador have die on those places... there is always a price to pay

The culmination of this year's RedBull AirRace , and it's US introduction, was held at Reno-Stead during the National Championship Air Races held in mid September. The fans seemed to really enjoy it, I think this type of competition may continue!

The pylons are soft, so if a pilot is to clip one, it should deflate and not cause any damage to the aircraft, that said, point penalties are applied for a touch.
