the IL-10 has been anticipated for such a long time by myself

i was very impressed by this A/C when i first learned about it & i thought for sure one day it may come to this game

would it be possible to at least see the IL-10 that you have planned in some Development screenshots of what she looks like flying in FB at sometime

i realise that it is meant for a add-on not meant for the western markets , so could it be possible at sometime to at least see what it would look like flying in FB ?

Do they sell enough of these game in Russia to make it worth the effort? Maybe I'm wrong but I would think that around half the market would be in North America and Western Europe?

As I recall: the majority of the buyers are IN russia.

Read somewhere, here or at simhq, that Oleg said they would try to release the Il-10 in Russia AND the rest of the world in some way. Don't remember where I read it but tha man said so!

Found the link!

No No! I prefer have HS-129 a early ground support plane to come in to be flyable first before let 1945 plane to be flyable. Sorry! LW side need it to match IL-2 as if it is chess pieces to play.

I thought the FW-190F series was the effective equivalent for the same role in the same timeframe? Perhaps just some pz blitz rockets for it would do the trick :>

The Fw190F-8 we have is a 1944 plane. Weresnowleopard is looking for a LW counterpart to the IL-2s of 1942 and 1943 as well. the Hs129B-2 would fit this bill.

Cheers,

We can have both. I wouldn't mind Hs-129 and Il-10 in the game.

In reality, Oleg might be able to get detailed information (blueprints etc.) from the Ilyushin Design Bureau archives faster than Henschel blueprints so Il-10 might make it to the game earlier than Hs-129.

Clint's suggestion of the Fw190F8 or Fw190F9 with panzerblitz rockets http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif would take the least amount of work. A Hs129 would be great but, requires and entire pit model (and probably revised external).

Sorry about that, I missed the part where Weresnowleopard said he wanted to 'chess' with the Il2 rather than Il-10. Doh :>

I know it doesn't really match up that well to the Il-2, but the CR-42 [and I-153 if you squint and need rockets] are at least reasonably close to looking like an HS-123, which got saddled with a lot of early war ground attack and observation work in the east. Kind of like pawn vs rook though.

Cr ap planes forever!

Clint,

7Jg77_Cossack gave me a great Hs-123 skin for the Cr.42. If you don't have one, I can post it for you in a PM later. It is impressively 123 looking. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I use it once in a while even though I hate biplanes. All that turning in circles makes me nauseus. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Faustnik - do you think it would be worthwhile trying to use the photo gallery feature to post skins here?

Now THAT sounds VERY good! If we want something done about this...how about we see what info we can dig up and send to Oleg. How much would be modified between the F8 and F9. What info can we get on the Panzerblitz. I love flying the F8 and I think this would be great too!

Here's some info I found:

quote:
In October 1944, the new Fw 190F-9 modification emerged from the production lines . It had its roots in the A-9 plane. This version was powered by the more powerful BMW 801 TS engine with the VDM propeller with three wooden blades produced by the Heine or Shwartz companies. The propeller had a diameter of 3500 mm. The F-9 planes used only the enlarged rear cockpit canopy. Some planes also got the vertical tail from the Ta 152 plane. Armament was the same as previous version (2x1 MG 131 and 2x1 MG 151/20 E). For this plane, the same R modification kits (except R3) were provided, but only the standard or R1 version were produced. A few planes had Panzerblitz missile launchers.

At the turn of 1944/45, due to the critical shortage in strategic materials for the aviation industry and the expanded fighter plane production program it was necessary to develop substitute parts for the Fw 190 made of wood. These were generally tails, flaps and ailerons, but there is no information which were used and on how many planes. A small number of Fw 190F-8 and F-9, like the A-8, were used as guiding planes for the Mistel units.

So...they take a FW190A-9...and they put some rockets on it. Change up the FM a bit, take off the outer 20mms...yeah, that'll do! An IL-10 for the VVS and a FW-190F-9 with Panzerblitz for the Luftwaffe. From what I know of the IL-10, it was operating roughly during the same time.

Yes, Badsight your IL-10 would be uber. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif I'll help with the rear 20mm in coops, nothing would survive on our 6. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

I'm sure this is something we could reasonably convince Oleg to do. It'd be about the same or less than doing a Yak-9U to Yak-9UT conversion.

Yeah I have that FW190 bug even when I'm a Tempest freak. But the similarities are there too http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thats Avia B-33, Czech-build licence copy of IL-10.

BTW, recently there was huge digging in former military airfield in Prerov, CZ and they dug out several IL-10 center part of fuselages.

Hope somebody will put them into shape again, this beast definately deserves it.

Late war Uber GA plane... Not needed, barely flew. Had no practical affect on the war.

If you can't ground pound with the IL2 you got then giving you this UBER GA plane will make you no better!

?

where else are you going to get as big a focus on the Sturmovik family ? ! ? ! ?

the IL-10 deserved to be in , not just because it was the best GA aircraft of WW2 , . . . . .

but because of FB's predecessor . . . IL2:Sturmovik

i thought for sure we'd see the IL-10 in FB's Initial release

now it seems that Maddox Games has a IL-10 commisioned . . . . i BADLY want to be able to use this A/C , or at least get to see what the Beast looks like flying in the games engine

you obviously have been shot down but just a lowly il2 whilst in a Fighter

you fear the IL-10 for good reason & you knows it spa
