OK, so yesterday, I thought I might challenge myself and I started playing AC II again, but I'm not going to buy any armor(nor will I use Altair's) or weapons, in fact, I will only use the fists and sometimes hidden blade(for assassinations only).
I will come back to post some final impressions after I finish it.
I had to buy a dagger and the leather greaves, Mario says so http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

lol why didn't you just wait until you'd finished before opening this discussion?

How long do you plan on taking to complete this play through?

This does sound interesting, but I agree with Robson. You should have waited until you'd finished, and then made a monster post about all the different scenarios you were in etc. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Well I didn't wait to finish because I wanted to see some opinions and because it would've been kinda useless to make a thread after... a post in some other thread would've been enough.
Anyway, since I am at memory block 7 or 8, I'd say it won't take long, but still, only now things are getting difficult.

I found myself in an awkward position in the first encounter with Borgia, there were too many seekers and brutes to handle at once. I did it in the first try, though.

It's more fun to kill the guards on rooftops http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif) I throw them on the road now, it's loads of fun especially when they say "release me at once"(or something like that).
I just figured something out: armor is pretty useless... since you have smelling salts to replenish your life and one vial doesn't cover all your life bar if you have high-end armor.

If you find yourself in a difficult position try to throw sand at enemies and then quickly change to hidden blades and you get an easy kill. It's useful against brutes and seekers.

I've actually been playing AC 1 and AC 2 again to "practice" for AC: Brotherhood. I've also been doing silly stuff and trying to get way better on counters and disarms.

Aced it!
It wasn't really that hard, I had some problems at some point, but it worked out in the end.

It was kinda hard fighting Borgia with fists...
Also, i had to kill that guy using the gun, cuz thre's no choice.

You can stab that guy as well, actually.

And using medicine is kind of a detriment to what you're trying to do.

Didn't know that, sorry.
I know, but it would be impossible(for me) to finish the game otherwise. The reason for that is the lifebar doesn't regenerate.
